3 Easy Ways to Elevate Your Spring Look

Here at our HQ’s hometown, it’s in the 70s today, and one thing is for sure – spring has more than sprung. And as much as we love warm weather, sometimes it’s hard to dress for it when you’re coming off months of the chills. I say this while regretting my decision to wear boots this morning and while eying our Marketing Director’s adorable sandals, a Crossroads find she recently pulled out of the crevasses of her closet.

What I’m saying is that it can take some time to remember how to transition, and sometimes some inspiration is needed. That’s why we’re turning to our Evanston team today – hailing from Illinois, they truly understand extreme seasons. With some stellar season-ready gear and some sartorial wisdom, they’re showing us three ways to elevate your spring look. Spring. It. On.

130422_1_sr23 ON ARICA: Bone yellow necklace $17.50, Kate Spade white tote $150, Pink umbrella $8.50, Trina Turk dress sz 4 $125 (new!), Givenchy brown sandals sz 37 $375

We love Arica’s entire ensemble here, from her eye-catching dress to her spring-to-summer sandals, but the true statement in this outfit is her white Kate Spade bag. It’s so stark white and bright that it pops, without adding another bold hue to her bold outfit.
130422_2_sr23ON CRISTINA: Luba bag $75, Free People Blazer sz s $22.50, UNIF denim shorts sz xs $32.50, Jessica Simpson boots sz n/a $30, Lucia couture lace top sz s $12.50, Fringe earrings $9.50

For those sudden spring breezes, you could sling a cardigan over those shoulders, but what fun would that be when you could wear a statement-making floral blazer?
130422_3_sr23ON NATHAN: Reigning Champ Jacket sz m $85, Rag & Bone green cords sz 30″ $65, Borgo shoes sz 11 $65, J. Crew polo sz s $13.50

Hanging with a well-dressed guy friend yesterday, he proclaimed, “Socks are the new ties.” We couldn’t agree more.
