I’ve always had a special place in my heart for holiday stockings. I find the smaller assortment of gifts a treat, and traditional stocking gifts like clementines remind me of holiday mornings with my grandmother. While books, mini candles and art supplies are some favorite selections, I put together a short list of last minute stocking stuffers you can pick up while running errands at your local pharmacy or grocery store.

Socks

How did something we found so disappointing as children turn into a simple pleasure in adulthood? I now delight in new socks in solid colors and soft weaves.

Nail Polish

Pick a classic red, or give them a fun color they might never think to try, like black or silver.

Kitchen Utensils

We all need them and many are lovely by design. Case in point: these olive wood spoons spotted at Trader Joe’s.

Hair Accessories

Hair accessories are notorious for running away from home during the year. Gift your friend or family member with a fresh batch of scrunchies, hair ties and barrettes.

We often hear from men asking for fashion advice, so today we’ll focus on one of our favorite categories with 3 gorgeous dressed up looks for men we handpicked ourselves. And while we’re thinking about it, these looks aren’t exclusive to men. Women can rock them too!

1. Classic

A classic suit is never a bad idea. It’s best in black or navy, and even something as simple as a dark t-shirt keeps the look polished. Use the basic appeal of the suit to put focus on your favorite watch or glasses.

2. Vintage Luxe

We headed straight to Harry Styles’ Instagram feed for inspiration here. Recreating this look will take you on a treasure hunt for secondhand pieces in velour, pastels and florals. Look for flared pants, cropped pants, dresses and skirts.

3. The Build-Your-Own Suit

Now if you want to see a premier collection of men’s dressed up looks, turn to Denny Balmaceda. He’s the master of creating a “suit” in an array of styles. His recipe: one part jacket or sports coat, one part trousers or jeans, and one part accessories.

When looking for outfit inspiration, I need to look no further than our stores’ Instagram feeds, where I can see what our in-store fashion experts, our buyers, are adding to their racks. This week, in search of inspiration for what to wear to my household and social pod holiday “gatherings” (because it’s still fun to dress up!), I found these on point holiday outfits styled by our buyers.

Since you’ll most likely find yourself at home celebrating, a cold-weather-resistant cropped sweater with contrasting mini skirt makes sense.

You already know how I feel about turtlenecks. Here’s yet another perfect pairing: with silky brocade.

Want to just stay in sweats and yoga pants? We do too! Add some seasonal cheer by bringing faux fur or shearling into your look for that cozy backyard bonfire.

Sometimes you just need a set of monotone accessories to pull a simple look together. I love this combo that our buyers arranged.

There is something very French chic about this look. It must be the cap-sleeve sweater tucked into a high-waisted jean. The low ruffled boots complete the look.

One the the season’s best trends is the sweater jumper, and I really like how our buyers paired this one with leather mules and a simple round bag.
