SF Weekly
Reader's Poll Winner:
Best Women's Clothing Store
Yes, you read that right. Readers of the SF Weekly voted Crossroads "Best Women's Clothing Store in the Bay Area." Our customers have discovered that recycled fashion offers the latest styles at great prices. Congratulations to all our Bay Area stores for the win and for their incredible customer service and singular style |

East Bay Express
Editorial Winner:
Highest-Paying Clothing Buyers
Here's what the Express' editors said: "When it comes to selling your clothing in the East Bay, you can feel a little bit like Goldilocks -- this one's too big to want my stuff, that one's too small, and those style-forward buyer bears can be pretty damn scary. But the Crossroads on Shattuck is just right. Not as focused on designer labels as its teeny College Avenue sister, but higher-paying than its competitors, the downtown Crossroads buys more in volume and pays more consistently. Now you just need to get over your fear of rejection. It's easy. Just remind yourself that you're getting rid of your clothes for a reason, whether that reason is style, color, or fit. So it's entirely possible that the style is last year, the color is weird, or the fit is awkward on anyone, not just you. Hold your head high, and don't try to pull one over on the bears. They're not going to eat you. They're just doing their jobs."

Daily Californian
Readers' Poll Winner:
Best Used Clothing Store
Students at UC Berkeley really love their fashion, but they tend to be on a budget. That's why Cal students love Crossroads, and voted us "Best Used Clothing Store" in this year's poll. |

The Wave Magazine
Readers' Poll Winner:
Best Vintage Apparel
For the second year running, Crossroads San Jose has won the Readers' Poll in The Wave! Here's what they said:
"Why They Won: Here’s how it works at most vintage clothing stores: Customers bring in their old clothes, which the vintage store then buys, cleans up (maybe) and re-sells. Here’s how it works at Crossroads Trading Company: Customers bring in their old clothes, which are then carefully evaluated by the fashion-savvy staff, who select only the best items for re-sale in the store. It must be a system that works; Crossroads was the Readers’ Choice winner last year."

Seattle Times NW Source.com
2005 People's Picks Finalist:
Bargain Clothing Shop
Crossroads is the place to come for that Capitol Hill look without laying out a whole lot of capital. This California-based trading company has made an art of buying and selling clothes: Items are well-organized by color and style, and this certainly isn't your everyday thrift store (you'll have to search elsewhere for acid-washed culottes or icky pilled acrylic sweaters). Instead, this place is a product of its neighborhood, and proud of its labels. A shiny black PVC vinyl corset, for example, goes for $10; new-ish Prada pumps for $85. A smattering of new stuff comes in too, such as a line of funky sandals, sunglasses and wallets.
Tip: Out with the old! Bring in your decent used duds for cash or credit - you get 35 percent of the marked price if you sell outright, 50 percent if you opt to trade.
