You know how they always say “A model-off-duty shirt” or “Her style is very model-off-duty“? What does that even mean?
While there is no exact definition of model-off-duty to be found (even on Urban Dictionary, I checked), a quick Google image search reveals a certain look – skinny jeans, leather jackets, slouchy shirts and lots of black. At first glance, it looks fantastic, and at second glace…it’s nothing remarkable. We definitely dig simple-chic, but I’m going to go off on a limb here and say that the key to model-off-duty style has less to do with style, more to do with models.
Cue Ruby Aldridge, a model that is a super star on the runway and a rock star on the street. Her style is edgy, bold and very well-defined, favoring pieces like fringe jackets, military hats, military jackets, frayed denim, plaid and oversized hats. We love Ruby because even when she’s not on duty, she’s working it in a way that is completely her own.
