The Top 15 Street Style Looks from Fashion Week Fall 2013

You don’t have to be a clothing connoisseur to appreciate Fashion Week, because the truth is, even if you find the looks on the runways inaccessible, the looks on the street can be pretty educational and inspirational.  A flood of photos are always released onto the internet when Fashion Week is over, and saying they’re hard to sift through is a definite understatement. It’s a lot of work.

To make things easier on you, we rounded up our top 15 looks from New York Fashion Week – featuring fashion personalities like Miroslava Duma, Joanna Hillman and Preetma Singh to name a few – and we did it all just to share with you. Take a good scroll down to appreciate our work, as well as the women below who are simply werking it.

Insta-Gratification: New York Fashion Week

New York Fashion Week is in full swing and Crossroads Style Council members Bethany, Mara, Natalie and Rachel have been on the ground, reporting for Crossroads Trading. While we await their blog posts, fortunately Instagram provides Insta-gratification – New York Fashion Week right now. Keep in touch with the happenings as we recap Fashion Week so far!

Rachel looking amazing on the first day of Fashion Week. Ouch!

Always one of the first – and strongest – shows of the season, BCBG blew us away with heavy knits, layering, textures, beanies, and overall, a modern 90’s grunge throwback. Photo thanks to our reporter, Natalie.

Natalie poses for an Insta-selfie with her NYFW roomies!

Bethany stopped by Crossroads in Brooklyn and found these ah-maz-ing Alice + Olivia shoes…we sure hope she got them!

Natalie witness Mara Hoffman’s Fall 2013 collection firsthand.

…And Bethany reported on Carolina Herrera for us.

The perks of being part of the Crossroads Style Council – Mara picked up this Gucci dress from West Hollywood Crossroads with the help of manager, Amy.
Rachel preps for the fourth day of Fashion Week, wearing a shaggy coat from Crossroads and a pair of ombre tights we’d kill for.

Even in the snow, outfit posts are a must! Mara’s hubby is a good sport as he snaps some outfit shots…in a trench from Crossroads in Brooklyn!

The grand-master of bandage dresses received a visit from Crossroads Style Council member, Rachel.

Mara might be home already, but we had to post this adorable picture of her reunion with her doggy. Too cute!

NYC Digital Diary

I’m back from NYC and all I can really say is what a trip! No really, it was a whirlwind of long days walking around the city in heels, lots of caffeine and lipstick, neon handbags, talking blogging at the Independent Fashion Bloggers Conference, shopping our Brooklyn store, overpriced dinners with friends, and hanging out in the Refinery29 main office. I spent an evening in a ferris wheel inside of a Toys ‘r’ Us, did some street-style photography in Williamsburg, played with Laura Lane‘s adorable puppy, and mingled with fashion’s finest at Fashion Week. The pinnacle of my trip was probably meeting Phil aka Street Peeper and being photographed for The Cut (and I made it!).  My life is complete…until the next Fashion Week that is.

The Real Fashion’s Night Out

New York may be known for its hot dogs, the Met, and random celebrity spottings, but it’s also home to the latest Crossroads Trading, nestled in the heart of Williamsburg. We had a wild, wild night last Thursday with all our friends as we celebrated our store’s grand opening. DJ Gorges Boy spun out-of-control tunes while party goers impressed with their dresses, as well as their shoes. The Parlour Brooklyn was putting in work braiding everyone’s hair, and some lucky party people scored raffle prizes from Samurai Mama, Self Salon, Greenpoint Tattoo, and more. Fortunately, no one left empty handed, because we had swag bags for all. Thanks for coming out, guys!

Also, we’re giving away a locket for a real rockstar this week, if one ever existed. Comment on a blog post – any blog post. As many blog posts as you like, even. The winner will be randomly selected on Monday, and the more you comment, the better your chances of winning.

Crossroads Brooklyn is open right now for buying and selling. If you’re in the area, come by and say hi! We’ve taken up shop (pun intended) at 135 N. 7th st, Brooklyn, NY.
