With Halloween right around the corner, it’s time to start prepping the ultimate costume if you haven’t already! The great part? A lot of these outfits can be re-created with what you already have in your closet! So, whether you’re staying at home watching Hocus Pocus with the gals or trying to win for “Best Costume,” there’s a Halloween costume for everyone.

The blogging industry has evolved so much since the beginning days of posting outfit photos on WordPress or Blogger. Bloggers have established brands, created extended business lines and products, and created a platform for fashion lovers to have access to unlimited content.

The newest avenue that style and fashion bloggers are taking over is YouTube! Style vloggers are quickly gaining traction and we are seeing more and more of our favorite traditional bloggers creating video content using YouTube or Instagram. I have noticed myself focusing more on video content from my favorite style bloggers. I love being able to “go shopping” with someone whose style I admire, see the clothing and products in a more three dimensional way with movement and detail, and getting to know these girls on a more personal level.

How could I have a list of my favorite style vloggers without including our very own Crossroads Style Council member, Beth! Beth is one of the very first bloggers that I fell in love with and have followed since. She’s transformed her brand from a style blog to fashion and lifestyle vlog and films thrift challenges, weekly outfit videos, and style tips.

Kia Marie, TheNotoriousKIA

Kia is one of my newest finds, and I don’t know how I didn’t discover her sooner! She describes her style as “a blend of the grittiness of New York City and the carefreeness of southern California”. She posts impressive thrift hauls, video lookbooks, and “how to style” tutorials.

Chriselle Lim, Chriselle Lim

Emma Hill: EJ Style
Emma has an attainable everyday chic style. I also adore her YouTube channel which includes shopping hauls + try ons, travel vlogs, and styling tips.

Freddie Harrel: Freddie Harrel
Color, bold prints, confidence, women empowerment: if you are a fan of any of these, you will fall in love with Freddie immediately.

Lucy Williams: Fashion Me Now
She is the image definition of effortless.

I’ve always gravitated towards black and neutrals when building my wardrobe, but this summer, I’m craving color! I’ve been finding myself looking for vibrant colors and prints every time I go shopping lately. I love that Crossroads organizes each section via color, making it that much easier to find as much color as possible when I’m shopping! I’ve also been following more colorful Instagram accounts and have put together a list of my favorite accounts that have been making me smile and inspiring my summer style!

If you follow Crossroads on Instagram, you may have seen that the SoCal members of the Crossroads Style Council took a road trip to Santa Barbara together. We met early in the morning to drive up the beautiful coast to the Crossroads store on State Street, and we were challenged to  create an outfit in just one hour (you can see all those looks below!).

After styling up our looks (and collectively buying so many goodies!), we walked over to eat at the newly opened Smithy Kitchen + Bar, which was a hit! If you’re in the area, it’s a great place for a leisurely lunch break. After lunch, we stopped for a coffee refuel at The French Press and headed back to Los Angeles.

I had been to Santa Barbara only once before, and this trip really solidified that I am officially in love. The entire town is darling, especially the neighborhood the store is in!
