If you follow Crossroads on Instagram, you may have seen that the SoCal members of the Crossroads Style Council took a road trip to Santa Barbara together. We met early in the morning to drive up the beautiful coast to the Crossroads store on State Street, and we were challenged to create an outfit in just one hour (you can see all those looks below!).
After styling up our looks (and collectively buying so many goodies!), we walked over to eat at the newly opened Smithy Kitchen + Bar, which was a hit! If you’re in the area, it’s a great place for a leisurely lunch break. After lunch, we stopped for a coffee refuel at The French Press and headed back to Los Angeles.
I had been to Santa Barbara only once before, and this trip really solidified that I am officially in love. The entire town is darling, especially the neighborhood the store is in! We would love to see you in your Crossroads neighborhood, where you eat, drink, and play! Hashtag #CrossroadsNeighborhood on Instagram to share your community with us.

Our shopping trip and style challenge was a success!
I had so much fun with these ladies and I cannot wait until our next adventure!
Instagram has quickly become the fashion lover’s go-to for instant outfit inspiration. I would go so far to say that Instagram will—if it hasn’t already—quickly surpass the traditional blogger’s platform.
When you’re looking for outfit inspo, it’s as easy as plugging in a descriptive hashtag or simply scrolling through your feed in the morning. Just follow your favorite fashionistas for a daily dose of style delivered straight to you! Need somewhere to start? Take a look at five of my favorite fashion babes you should be following on Instagram if you aren’t already.
Anine Bing, aninebing
Designer Anine Bing (check out her self-titled line here) is the queen of chic and classic with just the right touch of modern. Known for her outfit uniform of graphic tees and blazers, Anine can also be seen rocking badass booties, leather jackets, and the denim of your dreams.
Casey Carlson, officiallyquigley
A little boho, a little rock and roll, and a lot of funk. Casey has a smile that lights up the entire room and definitely has fun playing dress up everyday. Fun fact: I met Casey at our local dog park before she moved out of the area, and our pups were obsessed with each other!
Lauren Johnson, discodaydream
Lauren is the ultimate cool girl, and I am almost embarrassed by the amount of likes she gets from me! She is an unlimited source of outfit inspo, whether I’m feeling chic, casual, or playful.
Chloe Miles, chloehelenmiles
Chloe is a total style chameleon and showcases her effortless chic fashion sense throughout her Instagram.
Zoe Lazerson, zoelaz
Zoe shares her personality through her fashion! A fan of color, Zoe nails playful yet wearable style and shows you how to wear just about every trend perfectly.
Who What Wear has become my fashion bible. I meticulously follow their blog and social media channels to keep up on the latest fashion news and trends. Since 2015, Who What Wear has honored the most fashion-forward influencers and trendsetters of the past year. This year’s winners were announced earlier this week, and I was pleasantly surprised to see many of my favorite bloggers featured!
Take a look at the style bloggers that received honors in the Who What Wear Street Style Awards. And take a cue—these are bloggers that need to be added to your blogroll ASAP!
Head over to Who What Wear for the full list!
Tamu McPherson, All the Pretty Birds – The Risk-Taker
No color is too bright, no pattern is too busy, and no trend is too tricky—Tamu takes risks and experiments with her style. And she pulls it off every single time!
Camille Charrière, Camille Over the Rainbow – Best Accessories
Accessories can make or break your outfit, and no one knows this more than Camille! Her accessory game is on point.
Danielle Bernstein, We Wore What – Best NYC Style
A staple in the New York City fashion scene, Danielle is the epitome of cool and chic NYC style.
Taye Hansberry, Stuff She Likes – Best Who What Wear Collection Style
Who What Wear gave love to Taye for the way she consistently nailed the styling of their Target line, but Taye is consistent in her style, no matter the brand!
Mary Seng, Happily Grey – Best Color Play
Mary has always been one of my favorite fashion bloggers, so I’m not surprised that she was honored by Who Wore What this year for her bold wardrobe color palette.
Courtney Trop, Always Judging – Best Original Style
Courtney was recognized for her original style. If you’re ever feeling uninspired, check out Courtney’s blog for some ideas!
Jacey Duprie, Damsel in Dior – Best Ladylike Style
Jacey manages an understated, chic style, often pairing and balancing feminine and masculine pieces.
I’ll admit it: I am terrible at coming up with gifts for the holidays. Once in a while, I’ll surprise myself and come upon the perfect gift on my own, but my family will be the first to let you know that I’m that person that has to ask what you want (over and over).
So what do you do when you want a surprise and you’re out of gift ideas? You turn to your favorite bloggers! They’ve definitely saved me quite a few times during the holiday season. If you always need a little extra help picking out the perfect gift, check out some of my favorite blogger-curated holiday gift guides for this season!
Grasie, Style Me Grasie
Grasie’s gift guides are my favorite this year! She has created five so far, including ones for the fitness buff and the home entertainer. By highlighting her favorite gifts and including options under $50, Grasie’s guides will save you this holiday season! Check out all of Grasie’s gift guides here!
Jo, A Cup of Jo
Jo has created gift guides to cover all your gift-giving needs! From your parents and siblings to your BFF and kids, Jo has affordable, creative gift ideas for everyone. Check out her gift guides here!
Samantha, Could I Have That?
Do you know someone who is always traveling, whether for work or for play? Samantha put together a brilliant gift guide for your jetsetter friend! Check out her guide here!
Kristen for Who What Wear
Who What Wear is pretty much my style bible, and I wasn’t disappointed with Kristen’s gift guide for the stylish person in your life! Find her gift ideas (for every budget!) here!
Aimee, Song of Style
A new year means renewed focus on getting healthy—at least for a few months. For those you know will stick it out, check out Aimee’s gift guide for your health- and fitness-obsessed friends!

Emily, Cupcakes and Cashmere
If you’re on a budget—and let’s be honest, we all are, especially during the holiday season—Emily has a great $25 and under gift guide. Emily will be posting gift guides twice a week all month. You can view all her current guides here.
As a new mom, I have a new appreciation for those who can seemingly do it all; it’s definitely not as easy as they make it look!
When I first started following style bloggers, the majority were close to my age range and, typically, single and without children. More and more in the last few years, my favorite bloggers have been reaching the same kinds of milestones in their lives as I have in mine. So many style bloggers share more of their life experience and advice than when they first begin. In my sphere, that includes children in the mix!
I want to share five of my favorite blogs by moms that I follow. They are an inspiration to me, in proving that you don’t have to be defined only by motherhood or a career. These women are multi-dimensional, stylish, and give us an honest peek into their busy lives.
You’ll often see Erin’s little ones show up on the blog. One of the first bloggers I followed, Erin was never shy about sharing her new life as a mom and is still one of the most stylish ladies I know doing it.
B. Jones Style
One of Crossroads’s very own Style Council members, Beth is an entrepreneur and a mother to two beautiful boys! Beth works as a fashion stylist and interior designer all while running her blog and YouTube channel and raising her boys with her husband.
Arielle has a little girl running around, and yet she still has the time and creativity to keep her blog constantly updated for her readers.
The Fashion Guitar
Although she is an internationally known blogger who often collaborates with companies like Vogue and InStyle, this down-to-earth fashionista always has time for her two little ones.
Cupcakes and Cashmere
Emily got into the blogging world early and has conquered every nook, including writing a book and releasing her own fashion line. But her main priority is her darling little girl Sloan, whose quirks and growing personality are a joy to read about.
