Blog: Crossroads Style

January 22nd, 2016 by Samantha Weaver Meet Kachet!

Need styling advice on your most recent Crossroads find? Looking to re-organize your current wardrobe to get the maximum amount of wear out of it? Or maybe you simply want suggestions on what to make for dinner tonight?

Enter Kachet of The Lipstick Giraffe.

This Sacramento-based fashion and lifestyle enthusiast has one clear goal: “to show you that you can look and feel like a million bucks without breaking the bank,” and we can’t wait to see her in action. She describes her style as a mix of classic and modern with a pinch of funk, always with lipstick.

Please join me in welcoming Kachet to the Crossroads Style Council! I have a feeling you won’t want to miss out on her unique ability to style outfits on a budget.

January 8th, 2016 by Samantha Weaver Meet Aimee!

Big news! We are excited to welcome Aimee Rancer, creator of The Ohio Transplant and San Francisco enthusiast, to the Crossroads Style Council!

Just one look at Aimee’s blog and you’ll be swept away by her infectious smile, rose-colored view of big city life, and, of course, her amazing style. I don’t know if there is such a thing as an Ohio meets California look, but somehow Aimee pulls off classic, casual, and cool with seemingly zero effort. She also believes in a hearty laugh, enjoys food, drink, and travel, and she loves to shop at Crossroads!

MARCH 26, 2015 BY BETH JONES Style Icon: Adi Heyman

I’m so excited about this week’s style icon! The truth is I’ve seen this woman’s picture scattered throughout Pinterest over the years, and I’ve always LOVED what she was wearing, but I never could figure out who she was. Finally, it was revealed and now I can share the inspiration Adi Heyman brings. She is the blogger at Fabologie and she advocates for modest fashion as an Orthodox Jew. She wants the world to know that you can dress modestly, but also very fashionable at the same time, and she has made me
a believer.

I love it all.

MARCH 17, 2015 BY JENNIFER BEILE Round Up: Fashion & Style Instagrams to Follow

I am obsessed with Instagram (shameless self-promotion plug: @jenniferbeile); isn’t everyone, though? I follow friends and family, of course, but my main use for it is style inspiration. Models, bloggers, street style accounts and fashion companies make up the majority of my feed. My “likes” are typically reserved for photos that I want to archive and reference later when I am in an outfit rut, out shopping or looking for remix inspiration. Like everyone, I get busy and fall behind on keeping up on the blogs I regularly read, but believe me, I am rarely behind on my
Instagram feed.

Here is a list of my favorite Instagram accounts to follow for style inspiration, broken down into a few of my favorite categories. If you’re not following the following, you should be.

Of course style bloggers top my list! It’s what they do!

These ladies practically live, eat and breathe fashion. They know what they are doing!

Stylish Celebrities

I don’t follow celebrities for the gossip (OK, that is a tiny white lie), but for their outfits!

There are so many more beautiful Instagram accounts to follow; it was so difficult to narrow it down! What are your favorite style accounts to follow?

MARCH 4, 2015 BY BETH JONES Style Icon: Erika Boldrin

It’s style-crush time over here… and this week it’s Erika Boldrin!

Erika is an Italian fashion blogger who has been working it on the streets of every fashion season for the last few years. Her style is bold and unexpected, and she sure knows how to work an oversized sweater. One minute she’s the boho queen, the next she’s cutesy in pop-out prints. Thankfully, she records it all on her blog, My Free Choice, and I couldn’t be happier about it.

Now I know where to go when I’m dying for an outfit idea!
