March 15th, 2017 by Melanie Sutrathada 6 Ways to Wear Graphic Tees Like a Blogger

Gone are the days when your favorite graphic tee was reserved for the gym or sleeping! With bloggers incorporating graphic tees into their everyday wardrobe, there’s an endless flow of inspiration for wearing this trend.

Check out our six favorite ways to wear graphic tees, as shown by bloggers:

graphic tee

1. A colorful motorcycle jacket and statement wide-leg pants instantly make a graphic tee look more fashionable. Steal a tip from Yanin of I Dress Myselff and lightly tuck in your t-shirt for a more dramatic look.

2. Graphic t-shirts pair so well with utilitarian pieces. Embrace your inner Cady Heron and get your army pants on! Add edgier details like chain necklaces and mesh long sleeves to toughen up this look.

3. Balance out proportions by pairing a cropped graphic tee with a long, high-waisted skirt.

P4 - Thassia Naves

4. Never underestimate the power of a graphic tee, high-waisted jeans, and a structured bag to achieve a more sophisticated on-the-go look.

P5 - The Blonde Salad

5. When it comes to wearing a graphic tee, you can never go wrong with a simple pair of blue jeans, a moto jacket and block heels. Pull your bag directly in front of your outfit and show off your fashion-forward style!

P6 - What Olivia Did

6. An easy way to take your graphic tee from nightwear to casual streetwear? Throw on a structured coat in a bold pattern and slip on a pair of ripped jeans.

March 14th, 2017 by Jennifer Beile 7 Looks to Inspire Your Spring Style

With Daylight Saving, rising temperatures, and the sun shining just a bit brighter each day, it’s clear that spring has arrived. That means it’s time to shed those layers and break out your warm weather clothes! Some trends I’m looking forward to seeing are statement sleeves, short heels and flats, full midi skirts, and lots and lots of vibrant colors. To help inspire your style this new season, I’ve rounded up some of my favorite blogger looks I’ve seen this week that epitomize spring style.

Grasie’s top and skirt set just screams “Spring is here!” I am in love with how the coral in the floral print matches her mini bag and lip color.

Andy’s outfit may be from last spring, but it is just as trendy and current today. Her crisp off-the-shoulder blouse with tie detail is the perfect statement to add to your wardrobe and remix throughout the season.

Spring Inspo 3

Krystal takes on a ladylike spring look in her midi skirt and slingbacks, two of the season’s biggest trends.

Spring Inspo 4

Talisa is casual-chic in her midi skirt and sneakers—two easy-to-wear pieces that may just become your spring uniform!

Spring Inspo 5

I am completely envious of Lisa’s wide leg, ruffled ankle pants. They are perfect for spring and can be remixed endlessly into summer!

Spring Inspo 6

A spring closet essential: an easy and effortless dress like Natalie‘s that you can throw on for all those spring brunches with your girlfriends!

Blair‘s spring dress is another that can easily be worn multiple ways; belt it, wear it as a vest, with heels or flats, or over jeans.

March 8th, 2017 by Melanie Sutrathada How to Colorblock Your Outfits

Kick off the spring season by committing to adding more color to your outfits! Colorblocking is quintessential spring—bright, cheerful, and fun. For some tips on how to colorblock your outfits, take a look at how these fashionistas did it:

colorblock

Colorblocking doesn’t have to be a complicated ordeal. When in doubt, stick with neutral colors like black, white, and shades of brown.

P2 - Fash Boulevard

One of the easiest ways to wear the colorblock trend is to pair complementary colors together. These are colors opposite each other on the color wheel, so try purple with yellow, blue with orange, and red with green.

P3 - Lovely-Pepa

Integrate colorblocked pieces into a corporate or low-key setting by styling darker colors with black or white pieces. This black, blue and gray colorblocked sweater looks sleek and professional when paired with black culottes for work.

P4 - Song of Style

Pick up a dual-toned coat that’s minimalistic, clean and practical. Perfect outerwear that’s easy to wear yet makes a statement!

P5 - Sterling Style

Experimenting with colorblocking gives you more outfit choices to choose from and create striking, bold combinations with that everyone will rave about! Take a fashion tip from CEO of The Glitter Guide and combine neon colors like magenta and orange.

P6 - Style is My Thing

The key to achieving Soraya De Carvalho’s colorblock style? Keep a loose color scheme of two to four colors, so the outfit still looks cohesive. To make the colors look even brighter, try offsetting them a bold white piece.

March 3rd, 2017 by Samantha Weaver Meet Courtney!

Please help me welcome Courtney of Pretty Little Fawn to the Crossroads Style Council! We’ve been following Courtney both on-screen and via her blog rather obsessively this year, so—needless to say—we’re a bit giddy. It’s no secret we get our fair share of denim inspiration directly from Courtney, and lately we’ve been equally mesmerized by her covetable collection of neutrals, basic tees, and killer shoes.

Denim-obsessed with a love of vintage.

While Courtney is a skinny denim enthusiast, we can only call her recent play with voluminous trouser silhouettes masterful. Her dreamy vintage-inspired style mixes richly hued pieces that play up her red hair and leave you wondering how to get an ounce of the personal style she evokes with seemingly no effort!

We are so excited to welcome Courtney on board and can’t wait to see her style diary evolve with Crossroads!
