July 8th, 2016 by Samantha Weaver New In: Bohemian Dresses and Matching Sets

We’re big fans of easy dressing at Crossroads, which is why we can’t seem to keep ourselves from shopping this summer’s hottest trend: boho chic. Incorporating the bohemian trend into your wardrobe is super simple—in fact, it can be accomplished with just one trip to your nearest Crossroads store this week!

Here are some guidelines to choosing boho pieces that are updated and chic.

1. Keep the silhouette simple

Reach for maxi dresses and skirts because they elongate your figure.

2. Don’t mix prints

When sporting bold prints, go for either an all-over print or a matching set.

3. Be selective with your accessories

Some would say the more the merrier, but we’re recommending that you highlight one piece and keep the rest of your accessories minimal. Whether you want to feature a nice leather bag or a statement necklace, keep the accessory count to 1-3 pieces, or you’ll find yourself in a festival style nightmare.

May 27th, 2016 by Samantha Weaver Tie-Dye: Modern Ways to Wear It Right

Tie-dye is such a fun print to wear, especially in the spring and summer when you want to add a splash of color to your look. Don’t go digging for that DIY tie-dye shirt you made at summer camp just yet; first, let us show you how to wear it the right way.

1. Paired with Neutrals
Tame your tie-dyes by wearing them in neutral—the muted color will instantly upgrade these wild prints from tacky to chic. Our Tie-Dye Tunic ($17.50) is available at Crossroads stores in peach and tan.

2. Tie-Dye Maxi Dress
Slip into a tie-dye maxi dress for instant summer vibes. Cool and casual, this is my favorite way to wear tie-dye.

3. Pastels
Go for pastels if you are looking for a softer, more feminine look. Tie-dyed hair looks cool but is very difficult to maintain, so I’d opt for our High Neck Pastel Tank ($9.50) instead.

4. Marbled
If bright and colorful isn’t for you, try a marbled tie-dye print in black and white.

Our Marbled Shorts ($9.50) paired with a basic white tee are begging for a trip to the boardwalk. Grab your largest summer tote and a pair of espadrille sandals to finish the look.

…Guys love tie-dye too!

Guys look great in tie-dye. Head to your nearest Crossroads location for our men’s Tie-Dye Knit Tees ($9.50).

April 11th, 2016 by Melanie Sutrathada 4 Gorgeous Festival Hairstyles

Festival season is officially upon us, and whether you’re headed to Coachella or watching from home, you’ll want a hairstyle that’s both gorgeous and functional. Chances are, you’ll be dancing and sweating up a storm, so effortless beauty is a must when considering festival hairstyles!

Here are my favorite ways to style your hair for the season’s music festivals.

1. The Messy Braidfestival hairstyles
Throw together a traditional French braid and gently loosen up your strands before securing your ‘do with a clear elastic. For extra texture, spray a dry shampoo into your roots and massage it in with your fingers. This is one of my favorite styles to master for a long weekend!

2. The Half Updofestival hairstyles
Feature full waves and tons of volume while keeping your hair out of your face by pulling the top half of your hair back.

3. The Milkmaid BraidP3-Milkmaid-Braid

Looking to keep your hair off your face and your neck? The milkmaid braid is perfect for sweaty weather.

4. The TopknotP4-Top-Knot
Go uber chic and sophisticated with a sleek bun at the very top of your head, or go relaxed and effortless with a loose and messy topknot. Either way, you can’t go wrong!
