Blog: Crossroads Style

APRIL 14, 2015 BY JENNIFER BEILE Round Up: Coachella Style

Festival season is officially upon us with the close of the first Coachella weekend and the second weekend approaching quickly. Festival season has arguably become as important to fashion as it is to music, and the free-spirited bohemian is the reigning queen of festival fashion. Although I was not able to make it to Coachella this year, social media has made it so easy to enjoy the music and the fashion. I’ve rounded up my favorite Instagram posts from #Coachella2015!

Prepare for festival fashion overload…

I love how fun Beth’s eclectic style is and how creative she is in mixing and matching vintage, secondhand, and new pieces.

MARCH 5, 2015 BY SAMANTHA That 70’s Look: Bohemian Pieces
In Stores

This season, everyone from Gucci to Dior are jumping on the bohemian bandwagon. This means you can look forward to easy-to-wear pieces inspired by the hippie movement of the late 60’s, with just a dash of late 70’s Marrakesh thrown in.

Perfect for a summer full of fun festivals–or even just a day by the riverside–we’re sharing how to get that 60’s/70’s look with pieces pulled straight from our stores’ newest arrivals.

70s-037

Getting that bohemian vibe is a no-brainer: keep it simple with embroidered pieces, lots of fringe, round sunnies and of course Birkenstock (or at least Birkenstock-inspired) sandals.

70s-0122

Our Lace Insert Maxi Skirt, $38.50, sits high on the waist, is made of lightweight floral fabric and is our top pick for what to wear to
Coachella 2015
.

70s-0222

Oh and that coin belt? Yup, we’re obsessed too. Throw it on over denim shorts, your bikini or a delicate maxi skirt and snap!: instant festival style.

70s-0382

A linen tunic layered over ripped denim is an absolute must this spring. Add our Wide Brim Panama hat to accomplish that lusted-after relaxed
weekend vibe.

70s-0582

Try our Bell Sleeved Maxi Blouse, $28.50 on for size. Available in white floral (pictured above) and black paisley.

70s-0782

For a simple summertime look, go for an embroidered cotton tank and super flared bell bottoms. And, if you dare, add a fanny pack. ( I know, I know — but it’s the perfect bag for festival season because you can roam hands free!)

I’m personally gearing up for spring by hoarding embroidered pieces, and my newest find is this puebla dress — and I must say I love it and am on the hunt for more like it!
