July 8th, 2016 by Samantha Weaver New In: Bohemian Dresses and Matching Sets

We’re big fans of easy dressing at Crossroads, which is why we can’t seem to keep ourselves from shopping this summer’s hottest trend: boho chic. Incorporating the bohemian trend into your wardrobe is super simple—in fact, it can be accomplished with just one trip to your nearest Crossroads store this week!

Here are some guidelines to choosing boho pieces that are updated and chic.

1. Keep the silhouette simple

Reach for maxi dresses and skirts because they elongate your figure.

2. Don’t mix prints

When sporting bold prints, go for either an all-over print or a matching set.

3. Be selective with your accessories

Some would say the more the merrier, but we’re recommending that you highlight one piece and keep the rest of your accessories minimal. Whether you want to feature a nice leather bag or a statement necklace, keep the accessory count to 1-3 pieces, or you’ll find yourself in a festival style nightmare.

Border Print Side Tie Top ($27.50)
Border Print Maxi Skirt with Side Tie ($35)
Tiger Eye Antique Pendant ($22.50)

Off the Shoulder Stripe Dress ($35)
Flowers in a Bottle Necklace ($15)

Tie Front Floral Blouse ($26.50)
Tiered Floral Midi Skirt ($35)
Crystal Ball Necklace ($12.50)

Mirror Print Handkerchief Hem Dress ($38.50)
Bird Whistle Necklace ($20)

April 15th, 2016 by Samantha Weaver One Simple Trick to Upgrade Your Jackets

This versatile trend is showing up all over denim and leather jackets, but we also love it on everything from your preppiest sweater to your grungiest backpack.

Yep—pins are cool again. In fact, they’re the microtrend of the moment. Try adding colorful pins to your bare lapel because 1) this trend is unisex, and 2) it’s super easy (any pin will do).

The more outrageous the better! Pin adornment is our pick for a fun and easy way to upgrade any jacket this spring.

Remember: if you’re pinning, you’re winning!

March 11th, 2016 by Samantha Weaver Coming Soon: Red Accessories

There’s really no better accessory than a bright red lip. But where else can we add a pop of red to our fashion routine this season? We’ve just stocked up on our favorite hue, and we’re running through the best ways to wear red accessories—from bags to jewelry to makeup!

A red bag is an easy way to add some color to any look. Red Duffle Backpack ($27.50).

We’re also seeing jewelry with red stones and beads for summer. Coming soon: Silver and Red Multi-strand Necklace and Beaded Gold Bar Necklace.

Bright red is even popping up in the beauty world. Love this use of red eyeliner!

Try a classic red bandana with a twist! Our Bandana Headband ($9.50) is pre-knotted so it’s ready to wear—just pull it on and adjust the wire-ends!

A red shoe is always a good thing.

I’m also pretty obsessed with our Coral Paper Hat ($20). It’s an update to your classic summer hat but with an added pop of color! And the brim is lined with wire so you can form it to any silhouette you please.

All items will be available at Crossroads this coming week.

February 2nd, 2016 by Melanie Sutrathada The New Jewelry Essentials

Today’s jewelry essentials are so different from what our parents knew. Gone are the days of pearl strands and signet rings. Instead, we’re looking for pieces that add just the right amount of luxury to elevate an everyday look, or ones that make a huge statement to really take our outfits to a show-stopping level.

It’s time to take a closer look into our closets and give our jewelry collections a makeover.

Check out my new jewelry essentials:

Jewelry Essentials

1. A delicate chain that you never take off. Look for one in silver or gold with a small diamond or bit of bling. Layer it with other necklaces or wear it alone for a simple, streamlined feel.

2. The stunning ear crawler. These single earrings sit gorgeously on your ear lobe and are instant conversation-starters.

3. A menswear-inspired watch to keep you on time and stylish. Look for one with a slightly bigger face and a metallic strap.

4. A statement necklace that is sure to catch everyone’s attention. Big necklaces are taking center stage and are great for giving your little black dress some va-va-voom.
