Fashion moves faster than the seasons. Stores are already carrying their fall lines, so it’s time to get a head start on building your wardrobe!

July 31st, 2018 by Jennifer Beile What to Wear During a Heatwave

We love summer! Who doesn’t love sunshine, beach days, weekend road trips, and barbeques? But with the good, comes the bad… and the unavoidable heatwaves. With temperatures in the ’90s and higher, the last thing you want to do is think about getting dressed.

So what do you wear when it’s just too hot outside? Take a look at some of my favorite summer outfits to get through the summer heat!

Stick to Basics
Look for tanks with color and texture to add interest to an outfit built from basics.

Weekend Athleisure
On those days you’d rather not change out of your pajamas, go for the next best thing and stay comfy in a pair of trendy bike shorts and a breezy top.

Go Mini
Find some shade and off those legs in a short dress or skirt!

Crop It!
Dare to bare some skin to beat the heat!

Cool Colors
Hang up your favorite all-black outfits and break out your bright, light colors.

July 3rd, 2018 by Jennifer Beile Round Up: 5 Alternatives to Summer Shorts

We can all agree that part of the official uniform for summer is a great pair of shorts. Classic styles like denim cut-offs and high-waist linen shorts were made for hot summer days.

But if you’re looking for something new, hot summer weather can be tricky. Whether you’re feeling shorts-averse or they’re still a wardrobe staple, check out our round-up of hot weather outfit alternatives to inspire your style this season.

Breezy Jumpsuits
Jumpsuits are one of my year-round favorites, and a lightweight jumpsuit is the perfect simple summer one-piece!

Wide-Leg Linen Pants
Wide-leg linen pants are so versatile and can be worn to run errands or grab drinks with the girls!

Flowy Midi Dresses
I love a good mini dress, but midi dresses have my heart this summer!

Denim Skirts
Denim skirts are definitely replacing denim shorts as the summer uniform staple this year!

High-Waist Trousers
High-waist trousers have been my alternative to jeans this summer.  They are comfortable and breathable, yet still stylish enough for me to feel great about my outfit.
