December 17th, 2019 by Jennifer Beile Five Textures to Add to Your Winter Wardrobe

‘Tis the season to play with textures within your wardrobe. The extra layering pieces that are required during the colder weather allows us to experiment with mixing textures and fabrics more than the simple outfits we tend to put together in the heat. If you’re growing tired of throwing on the same sweater and jeans combo, add a bit of flair to your winter wardrobe with textures, whether mixed together or as an added element to your style, texture is an easy way to refresh your winter wardrobe blues.

Shearling, Sherpa, & Faux Fur

When those temperatures plummet, we yearn for comfort. A casual sherpa pullover or a luxurious faux fur coat will keep you toasty and stylish this winter.

Chunky Cable Knit Sweaters

It’s sweater weather and adding the cable knit variety to your collection adds just the right amount of edge to your otherwise traditional look.

Don’t Count out Corduroy

A blast from the past, corduroy is unapologetic and easier to wear than you may think. Style them like you would your favorite denim or trousers.

Smooth as Velvet

The luxe fabric has recently become more acceptable for not only day wear, but year around wear. Swap out your favorite LBD for a smooth velvet dress or reinvigorate your blazer collection with a velvet blazer over your favorite tee and jeans combo.

Sequins for Sparkle & Shine

If it’s tacky to love sequins, then call me tacky because I don’t think you should go through the holiday season without at least one dramatic sparkly and shiny look!
