It’s the perfect effortless piece to throw on for any occasion. September 12th, 2017 by Jennifer Beile 7 Outfits to Inspire Your Summer to Fall Style
It’s that time of year again. The mornings and evenings are getting cooler, but summer’s heat still lingers during the day. No matter the actual weather, something about the beginning of September has us itching to pull out our knits, booties, and coats. Dressing with light layers, muted tones, and key fall accessories will tide you over until it’s time to fully transition your closet from warm weather to cold.
Take a look at these 7 outfits to inspire your summer-to-fall style!
Kristen, WhoWhatWear
WhoWhatWear editor Kristen knows that a blazer is the perfect topper during transitional weather. It provides lightweight coverage that a coat would be too heavy for.
Elifnaz, Belle Melange
Elifnaz’s outfit is perfect for early fall. A muted, long-sleeve floral blouse paired with a denim midi skirt and sneakers will keep you comfortable from morning to evening.
Samantha, Could I Have That?
I love Samantha’s refreshing way of layering two lightweight tops for a little extra coverage.
Julie, Orchid Grey
A good hat is the way to my heart, and with a cool breeze in the air, fall is the best time to break out your hat collection!
Olivia, What Olivia Did
Olivia’s silk burgundy dress is the perfect transition piece; the long sleeves and high neck add slightly more coverage for early fall days.
Paulien, Polienne
Swap out your breezy blouses for more structured, heavier ones. Statement sleeves like the ones on Paulien’s top are still on trend for this season!
Mary, Happily Grey
If all else fails, throw a lightweight bomber on it and call it a day!
July 18th, 2017 by Melanie Sutrathada 6 Outfits to Wear at the Beach
As the temperatures start to rise, it’s only natural to hit the beach for some vitamin D and relaxation. Whether you plan on reading by the water or going for a bike ride along the boardwalk, here are a few trendy cover-up options you can wear for any beach occasion.
Any of these outfits is summer-approved and fail-proof for the beach:
Transition from beach day to bonfire with a lightweight sweater. A sweater worn over swimsuit bottoms—as done here—is the perfect look for cozying up next to a bonfire.
A pair of high-waisted shorts is a closet staple for summer. Want to show off your new bathing suit top? Switch out the usual crop top piece for a tankini or bralette bathing suit top.
Without a doubt, a pretty patterned dress is always a go-to option for the beach. They’re easy to take on and off if you need to tan or jump into the water (I’m always tempted to do the latter!).
Nail perfect beach style by throwing on a romper over your bathing suit. The one-piece won’t take up much room in your bag, making it perfect for when you’re on-the-go.
A two-piece separate outfit has everything you need to feel beach-time ready. Top off your outfit with a round handle or straw bag that can hold all of your beach essentials.
Take a style cue from Annabelle Fleur and wear a dress with a plunging neckline to show off a peek of your bathing suit without going overboard.
