August 19th, 2019 by Samantha Furno Trend Forecast: New York Fashion Week

With New York Fashion Week less than a month away, now is the perfect time to start keeping an eye out for fresh fall trends! With influencers flocking to the Big Apple for next month’s festivities, we will definitely start to see an influx of street style posts pop up on Instagram very soon, meaning new trends are surely going to be solidified for fall! I’ve been doing a bit of research on the forecasted trends for fall ’19 and I’ve pulled together some of my favorites that I can guarantee will be dominating the fashion industry, both at fashion week and next season in general.

Leather

Whether you’re into the real deal or prefer something faux, leather is going to be a dominating textile when it comes to fall dressing. From long line leather jackets to sleek cigarette trousers, leather will make any outfit instantly more chic!

Oversized Suiting

I am expecting to see quite a few suits being worn when it comes to New York Fashion Week street style recaps! Fall’s suiting trend is proving that oversized is better. Bring on the shoulder pads!

Structural Bags

Fun and unique purses have been a constant trend for 2019, but as we head into the fall season, we can expect to see bags that are a bit more tailored and structural in design, but that have an ethereal element to them when it comes to their shapes!

Heels over Pants

At first glance, it looks like a fashion faux-pas, but don’t be fooled! Influencers are starting to wear their lace up and ankle strap heels wrapped around the hems of their jeans or pants and I am sure we will be seeing this trend make its way into the mainstream market in no time!
