August 10, 2023 How to Style Cargo Pants

It’s time to talk about how to style cargo pants because we’re seeing them everywhere. In many ways, they’ve become as much of a wardrobe staple as jeans and leggings. We even included them in our latest selling guide.

They may feel one-note when looking at them alone on the hanger, but trust us that there are several ways to wear them. Here are 6 ways we like to style them.

1. Baggy

This is probably our most-worn look. We like to keep the whole look baggy with a cozy sweatshirt or oversized tee.

2. Edgy

Cargo pants can take on a punk vibe when you add edgy items like combat boots and bomber jackets.

3. With Cropped Tops

Perfect for a warm day, adding a cropped top is an easy way to style cargos.

4. With an Oversized Sweater

With fall and winter on the horizon, we already know we’ll be styling our cargo pants with oversized knits.

5. In Place of Jeans

Try your cargo pants in place of jeans for a whole new look with your casual outfits.

6. Weekend Uniform

It only takes a tank or tube top, sneakers, and a crossbody bag to have you ready for weekend errands or exploration.

That’s exactly how to style cargo pants right now. Find your favorite pair in your local Crossroads to get started.

August 3, 2023 Fall Must-Have: Wide Leg Trousers

Move over, jeans. Wide leg trousers are having a moment as the go-to pants for effortless fall looks.

We’re seeing them everywhere and for good reason. All you need to add is a tank top or t-shirt to complete a basic look. Then, add accessories to polish off the look and bring in your individual style. We recommend gold necklaces, leather belts, and big-framed sunglasses.

As summer wraps up, this look is perfect with sandals or slides. But trainers and sneakers will take the same outfit into fall.

When it comes to adding a handbag, we’re likely to pick a mini or straw bag.

And as the weather cools, the next layer to add will be just as simple. An unbuttoned button-down, blazer, or cropped jacket are all excellent choices.

Keep scrolling to see some of the inspiration photos we’ve selected for this fashion item. Then, make your way into any of our store locations to start finding your new favorite fall fashion pieces.

July 27, 2023 3 Fall Fashion Trends You Already Own

Fall fashion is creeping into our minds as we wrap up July and head into the final stretch of summer. This means starting to read about the expected trends for the season, as well as getting the itch to start shopping our racks for cooler weather goodies.

Fortunately, there are a few summer pieces that will keep their staying power into fall. We bet you already have these 3 hanging in your closet.

1. Tailored Vest

The classic vest has been a major summer trend, and you can expect to keep wearing it into the fall. While you’re likely wearing it now over a tank, you can transition into a tee and then a turtleneck as the temperatures cool through the end of the year.

2. Satin Skirt

Dark romantic is one of the trends expected for fall, and nothing is as easy for getting the look as a long satin skirt in black. We’ve seen them work with tanks and button-downs all summer, but soon they can be worn with soft sweaters and long-sleeve tops.

3. Uniform Dressing

Also known as nouveau normcore, uniform dressing is directed by your personal style. The most popular look for this fall likely includes button-downs, oversized blazers and coats, straight-leg jeans or wide-leg trousers, and sneakers or trainers. You get to pick your favorite pieces, then wear them on repeat.

Then, bring them to your nearest Crossroads store to sell for cash or store credit. No appointment is necessary, and you can use our waitlist app to add your name to the selling list from home.
