Top 9 Back-to-School Picks

We’re soaking up this last month of summer, for soon it’ll be time to head back to school. Not going? That’s okay. This year, back-to-school style is for everyone.

Rachel of Jag Lever and one of our Crossroads Style Council members, nails the back-to-school look with this strappy plaid number that whispers, fall’s coming, while still keeping you comfy and cool in the dog days of summer. But just in case you do need an extra layer, I’m loving Rachel’s denim button up–it looks great over her dress, and it’s super cute tied around her waist. And those boots. Yup, we’re ready to go back to school.

Here are some of my top picks for back-to-school… And the best part? All 9 pieces can be mixed ‘n’ matched.

From Runway to Hallway

School’s back in session, and it’s one of our favorite times of the year. No, seriously. Back to school = back-to-school shopping, and everyone knows that the hallways are practically runways at the beginning of the year.

We started with runway looks from the fall 2013 collections of some of the biggest designers and created amazing, wearable looks that you can rock on the campus catwalk.

Smarty Pants

Teachers, books, and new clothes:  that pretty much sums up back-to-school. Fulfill your need for a guilt-free fall shopping spree this school year by swapping your gently used duds for store credit.  This fall brought a wave of muted colors and chunky sweaters to the runways and we’re stoked to see they’ve also landed in our Evanston store. Mustard pants, low wedge boots,  sweaters, a few collared shirts, and a sweet tie to top it off  – they’ve got style. Educate.
