Blog: Crossroads Style

March 6th, 2019 by Samantha Furno Take a Walk on the Wild Side with Animal Prints

Move over feminine florals; spring is less than a month away and we are lusting after bold and fierce animal prints here at Crossroads! Before we introduce you to some of spring’s fiercest patterns, let’s take a moment and give credit to one of the most beloved and timeless prints that is definitely at the root of one of 2019’s biggest trends: leopard print. Leopard print has proven, time and time again that it is here to stay. Luxurious, eye-catching and versatile, this print has been a staple in wardrobes for decades!

Now that spring is around the corner, we are starting to see more predators come out of the jungle and make their presence known in the world of fashion! From sultry snakeskin to contrasting zebra stripes, these wild patterns are starting to find their way into our spring wardrobes and we couldn’t be more obsessed! We’ve been seeing animal prints galore on the gram lately, so we’ve rounded up some stylish, yet wearable ways to incorporate this trend into your spring line-up!

Hear Me Roar

What do you get when you mix one of spring’s hottest colors, marigold yellow, with a wild tiger print?! The perfect, trendy skirt! We love how this statement piece is balanced out with a simple white tee!

I’m not usually one for snakes IRL, but I am definitely a fan of these reptile printed booties! Adding animal print to your footwear line-up is a stylish way to incorporate some texture into any look!

Feed your love for all things feminine and frilly by pairing pastel floral pants with a wrap top in a similar shade.

We’re loving that the focal point of this denim jacket is its floral print. Needless to say, you can throw it on top of a neutral-colored sweater and you’re all set!

Running errands this upcoming weekend? Opt for a cute off-the-shoulder floral top and your favorite pair of skinny jeans for an on-trend look that couldn’t be easier.

This poppy print skirt makes for a show-stopping look!  Pair it with a black top to let the bold print shine.

Give shape and edge to a romantic, floaty high-low dress by cinching it with a belt.

Transition your brunchtime maxi dress into a flirty date-night outfit by throwing a leather jacket on top.

Edgy Florals
If a floral print is too girly for you, look for a piece that has edgier details, like this sheer crop top with a modern embroidered applique.

If your style is a bit more minimalistic, add a floral pop in your shoes, bag, or jewelry.

I absolutely love a rich, dark floral print—like the one in Blair’s jumpsuit—as opposed to the usual, more expected bright colors you see in spring.
