Every season we see recycled trends reemerge and this season it’s all about the throwback accessory! Fashion girls and guys have been taking inspiration from the decade that we just can’t seem to let go. Check out the most surprising spring accessory trends that we are starting to see populate Instagram and street style stars this season.

Headbands

Your favorite childhood accessory is back with a modern fashion update. From padded velvet and embellished headbands to silk ribbons, the simple hair accessory is an easy and functional accent to your look.

Bucket Hats

The most surprising spring accessory may just be none other than the bucket hat. Brave fashion girls and guys have been making the bucket hat look cool, and if you’re tempted to give it a go, look for a modern take on the old school accessory, like a leather version.

February 18th, 2019 by Samantha Furno Hair Clips: The Surprise Accessory of the Season

Remember those colorful and fun hair clips you used to wear on the regular as a kid?! Well get ready to feel nostalgic, because the fashion world is currently going crazy for them! Claws, clips or barrettes, we love them all! These clips were a hair staple of any 90’s child and I personally used to stock up on those snap clips and butterfly claws any time I went into a Claire’s store! As a kid, these hair accessories were used mainly to keep our hair out of our faces, but in 2019, clips are the perfect way to add color, texture and sparkle to any hair-do! Whether you opt for a classic Lucite claw or a pearlized clip, this nostalgic trend is totally accessible and easy to wear in real life. Here’s some of our favorite ways we are seeing this trend make a huge comeback!

Shine Bright

Whether it’s a glitzy heart or a shiny star, we are loving barrettes in bold, identifiable shapes!

Not Your Grandma’s Pearls

If you’re looking to add an ultra-luxe flair to your do, these faux pearl snap clips are the way to go!

High-fashion houses are also making their mark in this hair-clip frenzy!

Keep it Classic

These nostalgic clips are perfect for adding some 90’s flair to any fit. We like how Courtnee opted for clips in a clashing pink for some contrast.

June 19th, 2018 by Jennifer Beile Four Must-Have Plastic Accessories for Summer

One of the most unexpected trends has now become one of the most popular for the summer season. Plastic (yes the synthetic material that your tupperwear is made out of) is having a fashion moment, and we’re seeing it from the runway to retail stores. Of course, everything in moderation; wearing a clear, plastic dress is not as appropriate in everyday life as it is on the runway. The best way to wear this trend? Find accessories with plastic details to pair with your outfits! From bags to shoes to jewelry, plastic is more wearable than you could have imagined! Here are four plastic accessories that are a must-have this summer.

A clear, plastic bag as a purse will not only motivate you to keep your purse clean, but also add an edgy upgrade to your outfit.

No more agonizing over which shoes to wear with your outfit, virtually invisible plastic shoes will match your entire wardrobe!
