September 24th, 2019 by Jennifer Beile Instagram Inspiration for Your Fall Outerwear

Fall is my favorite season for fashion because it means we get to break out layers and outerwear! As I scroll through Instagram each day, I am seeing fall outerwear trends pop out at me, building excitement for the crisp weather to come.  Instead of covering up your style with a coat simply for warmth, celebrate the new season with bold outer layers that showcase your style.

Rich Colors & Bold Prints

Modern updates, like rich colors and bold prints, to classic silhouettes is an unexpected way to refresh your fall style.

Oversized Puffer Coats

Puffer coats get a bad rap for being unflattering but they are practical and oftentimes necessary during the cold months depending on where you live. The comfortable trend has given way to the acceptance of the practical oversized puffer.

Shearling, Sherpa, and Fur

From shearling accents to full-on teddy coats, these cozy materials will help keep you warm and stylish.

Edgy Details

Fringe, mock-croc, and rocker-chic leather jackets add an edgy twist on your fall wardrobe and can surprisingly pair well with a multitude of styles.

Timeless Classics

Of course, classic colors and silhouettes, like a trench or pea coat, will always be a timeless and sophisticated choice.

June 17th, 2019 by Jennifer Beile 4 Ways to Wear a Structured Blazer This Summer

When we think of summer layering, anything lightweight and airy like denim jackets, button-down shirts and kimonos tend to come to mind first, but what about blazers? Structured, tailored and undeniably chic, blazers are one of the more underrated layering pieces of the summer season, but they definitely deserve a place in your warm-weather wardrobe! Stephanie Arant, the fashionista behind the style blog, Unconscious Style, always keeps some stylish blazers on rotation in her wardrobe and trust me, this girl know’s how to make a blazer work with just about any outfit! I’ve taken some style notes from this layering queen and pulled together some of my favorite summer looks she has put together featuring a perfectly styled blazer! Prepare to feel inspired!

Matching Set

An updated, summer version of a classic suit, this little matching set is what summer blazer dreams are made of! Master Steph’s look by pairing a blazer with the same (or at least similar) color shorts and add a brightly colored top to the mix and you’ll be set!

Pair With A Dress

Pairing an oversized, menswear blazer with a feminine and flirty maxi-dress is totally unexpected and creates such an interesting silhouette that is very Olsen Twin-esque!

Keep Things Monochromatic

With this look, Steph proves that you can easily breathe new life into your favorite houndstooth or plaid winter blazer. As long as you wear winter’s blazer over a monochromatic all-white look like Steph did, you’ll be able to keep this structured style on repeat year-round!

Wear Over a Summer Crop

The long, sleek lines of a blazer are the perfect design detail to add some length to your summer look when paired with a cute crop top. No need to match your blazer with your bottoms here; opt for some high-waisted jeans instead for that ultimate cool-girl vibe like Steph!

One of our favorite fall trends has been the rise of the plaid coat.

Picking up a classic trench coat is always an obvious choice. For that extra bit of flair, style it with a scarf!

Never underestimate the power of a pink coat to make your outfit look more polished.

Grey coats work perfectly all season long, and they’re the perfect touch for those who love rocking neutral-colored outfits.

August 21st, 2018 by Jennifer Beile 5 Patchwork Print Outfits to Inspire You To Try The Trend

With the release of fall collections, I’ve noticed that patchwork print is trending: the combination of prints on the same piece. I love that patchwork takes the work out of print mixing while adding a really fun element to your outfit. Fair warning: it carries the risk of looking dated, so a quick scour of Pinterest and some of my favorite influencer feeds was in order.

Take a look at 5 patchwork outfits that’ll inspire you for the upcoming fall season!

Update Your Denim
Update your denim collection with a pair of patchwork denim jeans or a skirt. Look for denim with contrasting colors and pair it with a simple tee and your favorite blazer for a classic look.

Dress It Up (Or Down!)
You’ll be seeing so many dress options with patchwork print this season. A silky maxi is perfect for date night, or add some sneakers and a sweater to a long sleeved midi patchwork dress!

Express Yourself in a Patchwork Jumpsuit
I love a good jumpsuit, and a patchwork jumpsuit like the one Dana is wearing gives me all the cozy fall feels, while still looking trendy.

Make it a Statement
If you have to cover your outfit with a coat once the weather gets cooler, you might as well make it a statement!

Accessorize with Patchwork
A patchwork print bag will add some edge to an otherwise simple or monochrome outfit.
