With the release of fall collections, I’ve noticed that patchwork print is trending: the combination of prints on the same piece. I love that patchwork takes the work out of print mixing while adding a really fun element to your outfit. Fair warning: it carries the risk of looking dated, so a quick scour of Pinterest and some of my favorite influencer feeds was in order.

Take a look at 5 patchwork outfits that’ll inspire you for the upcoming fall season!

Update Your Denim
Update your denim collection with a pair of patchwork denim jeans or a skirt. Look for denim with contrasting colors and pair it with a simple tee and your favorite blazer for a classic look.

Dress It Up (Or Down!)
You’ll be seeing so many dress options with patchwork print this season. A silky maxi is perfect for date night, or add some sneakers and a sweater to a long sleeved midi patchwork dress!

Express Yourself in a Patchwork Jumpsuit
I love a good jumpsuit, and a patchwork jumpsuit like the one Dana is wearing gives me all the cozy fall feels, while still looking trendy.

Make it a Statement
If you have to cover your outfit with a coat once the weather gets cooler, you might as well make it a statement!

Accessorize with Patchwork
A patchwork print bag will add some edge to an otherwise simple or monochrome outfit.

April 4th, 2018 by Melanie Sutrathada 6 Ways to Style a Blazer This Spring

There’s no piece quite like a blazer. This outerwear number is an office wardrobe staple that’s universally flattering, whether it’s fitted, long, or oversized. It’s one of the first pieces we think of when it comes to power dressing. So, what are you waiting for? Pick up a blazer today, and get to styling!

Check out these six style tips to wear your blazer loud and proud:

blazer

If you already consider yourself the queen of androgynous style, turn your skills up a notch by pairing your blazer with a graphic tee and high-waisted pants.

Ready to make a fashion statement? Throw on a vintage blazer, a pleated midi skirt, and a statement belt!

A grey blazer, white blouse, and denim pants make for an easy go-anywhere outfit. It’s the combo you’ll be wearing on heavy rotation this season.

Double up on outerwear by wearing an over-sized blazer and pantsuit.

For your next on-the-go look, find a slouchy blazer and pair it with a black slip dress.

Grab a colored blazer, belt it at the waist, and wear it over black pants. It’s a fashion blogger-approved outfit you’ll want to wear on repeat all spring long.

October 26th, 2017 by Jennifer Beile The Faux Fur Teddy Jacket: A Surprising Fall Trend

It’s that time of year to upgrade your outerwear, and if you’re looking for cozy this season, you’ll find it in the teddy jacket.

Personally, I’ve been trying to make this trend happen for years, so I’m glad that my millennial pink version  will finally be accepted this season!  The teddy jacket is super versatile, offered in many cuts and colors, and almost always made of faux fur, leaving you feeling warm, cozy, and guilt-free. My blogroll and Pinterest timeline are scattered with variations of the teddy jacket, so I’ve rounded up some of my favorite ways to wear it this season.

September 11th, 2017 by Melanie Sutrathada 6 Fall Outerwear Pieces for the New Season

After another hot and humid summer, we’re excited for the weather to finally cool down. Fall is here, and what do you do when the weather starts to get chilly? Warming your hands in front of the heater is one option, but our favorite is having a handful of outerwear pieces to get you through those brisk fall days.

Here are six key fall outerwear pieces you should pick up this fall!

outerwear

1. With a classic olive green utility jacket and a scarf, you’re set for any and all fall outings this season.

P2 - June Sixty Five

2. Recreate this look with a suede biker jacket and a plain white t-shirt.

P3 - Lisa Olsson

3. When the weather is colder than usual, slip into a long and cozy shearling jacket. Tone down the teddy-bear look by pairing it with some simple black clothing as your foundation.

P4 - Masha Sedgwick

4. Nothing says fall quite like a rust-colored cardigan!

P5 - The Chriselle Factor

5. Trench coats are always a classic fall staple. They’re universally flattering, come in a variety of patterns, and–best of all—can instantly elevate an outfit.

P6 - Viva Luxury

6. The best thing about bomber jackets is that they’re incredibly versatile and can be worn in any season. For your next brunch out with your gal pals, go casual in bomber jacket paired with your favorite skinny jeans.
