Thrifting is a unique experience that truly gives credence to the saying, “one man’s trash is another man’s treasure.” Digging through rack upon rack knowing there’s the possibility of finding something special is the ultimate thrifter’s high. But sometimes, it can be hard to envision an amazing one-off piece in your wardrobe or dedicate enough of your time to make the most of shopping secondhand. That’s where thrift haulers and YouTube videos come in. Read below for my round-up of some of my favorite thrift-loving vloggers to inspire you and your next shopping trip!
Our very own Crossroads Style Council member Beth recently began vlogging again, and I am obsessed! I love Beth’s thrifting videos and self challenges!
Maya and Julia’s energy is so contagious! These girls have such a great eye for color, accessories and those small details that really make something special!
Cassie and Ricci share their love of fashion through their vlogs and inspire thrifters everywhere to give used clothing a second chance. I love how they show us how they would style their finds!
With their thrift hauls, DIYs and outfit of the week vlogs, these twin sisters are veterans of YouTube vlogging and definitely worth checking out!
Discussing anything and everything fashion-related, Katie has some of the best thrift finds and haul vlogs on YouTube!
Another one of our own Crossroad Style Council girls, Mary proves that thrifting is not just for clothing! Mary is the best at finding shabby home decor and accents and DIY-ing the chic back into them!
Whenever I need styling tips on how to re-imagine classic pieces with stripes, gingham or plaid, I turn to Crossroads Style Council member Melanie Sutrathada. In fact, she’s such a pro at pairing black with white that she’s this week’s inspiration for “Shop Her Look“.
For a black and white overcoat like Melanie’s above, go for our Sleeveless Trench in Check, $32.50. Sleeveless trench coats will be huge this season, and we love them because they offer a fitted silhouette with tons of layering options.
Finally, I think Melanie would agree that we should all dress for summer as long as possible (before the return of the dreaded East Coast winter), and there’s no better way than to keep wearing sandals! Our Racer Stripe Slip-Ons, $32.50, are made of butter soft leather and feature a modern cut.
If you haven’t already added Melanie’s Lace and Combat Boots to your weekly list of must-read fashion blogs, make sure you start tuning in stat, because this New Yorker has a knack for inspiring her readers in life, style and fashion.
