April 5, 2022 Black Owned Online Clothing Shops

Each week on our Instagram feed, we highlight Black-owned online clothing shops. If you didn’t see them all on our feed last month, then here’s a recap of the 4 we shared in March.

1. VAVOUNE

@vavvoune founder, Valerie Blaise, is a self-taught designer whose bags are crafted locally in Brooklyn. The label’s multi-use Claret bag really stands out to us: you can wear it as a baguette bag or a belt bag! Visit their online shop to see all the options here.

2. Octave Jewelry

Brooklyn-based and woman-owned @octave_jewelry is a Black-owned jewelry line that hits all the right spring notes. Founder and designer, Ope Omojola, creates sculptural pieces in “organic geometry” from metal and stones. Follow their feed to see the stones from start to finish, then shop the site here.

3. Sammy B

The next spotlight is on @sammybydesignsny, whose pieces are created by Project Runway Allstar @samanthablacknyc. The line stands out for its sleek silhouettes and vibrant colors like tangerine and lime. It’s no wonder why celebrities love the label! See all the stylish pieces on the brand’s website here.

4. Dana Scott

Dana Scott is an LA-based label that creates casual favorites with lots of style. You’ll want to check out their joggers, leggings, and bike shorts, and then follow their Instagram feed for excellent styling inspiration.

March 31, 2022 The Floral Print Trend

What would spring fashion be without a great floral print trend? There’s no better way to welcome in spring than with the pretty print on dresses, tops, and accessories. That’s why they can be found in almost every spring trend guide we publish.

This year, the trending floral prints are a mix of the classics: bold and colorful, dainty, and large-scale. As always, you have the option to dress up a romantic print with simple jewelry and coordinating pieces in textures like velvet. Or, add some contrast to the print with a moto jacket, big jewelry, and sneakers.

Don’t forget you can always just add a hint of floral to a look with the lucky find of a floral tie or shoes.

Start the scroll to see some of the looks we want to copy this spring.

The floral print never bores us, but there’s no need to worry if it’s not the trend for you! We have a seasonal guide with 29 other trends to get you excited about spring cleaning your closet and refreshing your wardrobe at any of our store locations across the country.

March 29, 2022 Consider the Cut-Out Dress

Consider the cut-out dress your new fashion friend. In fact, we’re so enamored with cut-outs this season that it’s one of the trends included in our spring selling guide.

If your mind rushes to those barely there cut-out dresses worn by celebrities and supermodels, think again. There are plenty of options out there with just a simple cut-out for a hint of skin.

Cut-out dresses are a little unexpected, which is our M.O. for spring and summer attire. Bring them out for date nights and vacations. They’re a fashion treat!

Keep scrolling to see some of our favorite cut-out dress looks we found recently on Instagram.

If you’re also ready for a spring closet clean and seasonal wardrobe refresh, we have plenty more trend ideas for you (30 in fact!) over here in our seasonal selling guide. Take a look at all the latest trends, then visit any of our store locations to see if we have the looks you’re dreaming of for spring and summer. HINT: we’re pretty sure we do!

Plus, bring in the clothes from your closet clean to sell for cash or store credit. You’ll refresh your closet for a fraction of the price.
