January 3, 2025 The Tweed Jacket: A Winter Classic

The tweed jacket comes in two fashionable flavors: the box style and the blazer. Both are fall and winter staples in our books, particularly because the woolen weave of tweed is both durable and soft. On top of that, these are high-quality pieces that fall in the “fashion investment” category.

The Box-Style

You can’t help but get Chanel vibes from this jacket cut, whether or not the piece is designer. This style typically is adorned with large gold or silver buttons and square pockets. Even with a t-shirt and loose jeans, this piece can elevate an entire look. It’s one of our favorite closet finds.

The Blazer

Usually two-button, with a wide lapel, the blazer style is the layer to grab when a coat is too heavy. Or, you can follow the lead of the stylish folks below who layered it under an overcoat. Like the box-style piece, it looks modern when worn with denim and trainers.
