April 21, 2026 Employee Q&A: Style Evolution with Noah
Author: Mia McCarthy
Working at Crossroads provides employees with a unique opportunity to learn about customer preferences while fostering their own style evolution. As they assist shoppers in finding the perfect additions to their wardrobes, employees gain insights into their own fashion tastes. At the selling counter, staff members encounter a diverse range of brands, styles, and trends which encourage ongoing learning within the fashion space. To learn more about how working at Crossroads helps refine personal style, let’s hear from Noah, an Assistant Manager at the Fillmore St. store in San Francisco.
How has your style changed since you started working at Crossroads?
My style is constantly changing, even if only in small ways. When I first started working at Crossroads, my style was simple: band tees with black Dickies, usually tucked in with a classic black belt. I still wear variations of this, but back then I didn’t care about the brand or fabric composition. After working at Crossroads, I began paying more attention to those things. Now a lot of my wardrobe decisions are based on fabric materials, like whether something is 100% cotton or linen. I pay more attention to quality over quantity.

How do you get style inspiration?
I get a lot of inspiration from my day-to-day environment, from work to events I attend. My coworkers are constantly inspiring me through new clothing combinations and creative DIYs. Additionally, a major source of inspiration for me is ballroom culture. The emphasis on creativity and individuality really stands out to me. Seeing the level of intention people put into their looks–through both styling and creating handmade pieces–has shaped how I approach my personal style.

What has helped you most when growing and refining your personal style?
Crossroads. Talking to so many people with different styles is inspiring. All of my coworkers have a genuine love for fashion, and each has a unique approach that differs from my own. I enjoy seeing my coworkers get excited about outfit combinations that I would have never thought to put together, which helps me with my own personal style evolution.

Thank you, Noah, for sharing your style evolution with us!
