March 28, 2023 9 Bright Fashion Looks We Love
Bright fashion pieces are one of the trends we’ve included in our latest selling guide. Pinks, yellows, blues, and greens in bright hues evoke the excitement that spring has finally arrived.
We’ve found 9 bright looks that we think really stand out from the crowd, and share some of our best styling tips for wearing them.
Go Retro
We always look for vintage pieces that capture that serotonin vibe.
Go All In
Less isn’t always more. We love every last piece in this look, representing all of the best bright colors.
Find a Bright Dress
Then layer it with everything.
Pick Bright Outerwear
It adds cheer to an otherwise chilly day.
Invest in a Matching Set
Matching pieces, or even a suit, make styling brights even easier.
Add Just a Pop
Sometimes you just need the contrast of a bright against a neutral, like through an accessory or glimpse of a sleeve.

See our latest selling guide for more current trends like bright fashion. Then, stop into any of our store locations to shop the trend. Remember to bring your pre-loved clothing to sell for cash or store credit!
March 23, 2023 Fashion Buyer Jobs in Sustainable Fashion
Fashion buyer jobs are a popular choice for people who love fashion. Selecting pieces to sell in a fashion store based on the latest trends, labels, and styles is easy for people who follow fashion shows and coverage.
What can make a fashion buyer’s job even more exciting, though, is when it’s for a sustainable fashion company. This is where fashion resale is an excellent fit!

In the example of our stores, our buyers purchase gently used clothing from the public. This means they are responsible for curating the store’s entire selection based on what’s popular with their local customers. The pre-loved clothes they buy into the store get a chance at a second life in a new closet, in turn keeping clothes out of landfill.
This important buying role involves having a keen eye for what’s selling and what shoppers are asking for. Then, the fun begins, looking for those pieces at our selling counter daily.

On top of these career perks, our fashion buyer jobs include an employee discount, meaning that our employees have incredible wardrobes made up of their thrifted finds.
If this sounds like a potential career match for you, we’d love to hear from you! You can read about all of our current job openings and benefits here.
March 21, 2023 How to Wear Denim-on-Denim
A denim-on-denim look can be worn almost every season, but maybe you’re not sure how to wear it.
There are several ways to style the look, and we think once you get the hang of it, you won’t stop wearing it. It’s super simple and hard to get wrong. Let us show you 7 looks!
1. Keep It One Tone
Go for all-dark or all-light denim.
2. Mix Your Denim
Or, mix denim colors for a nice contrast.
3. Add Stripes
A striped tee or sweater may just be the perfect pairing to a denim-heavy look.
4. Wear a Denim Jacket as a Top
Button up a denim jacket and wear it as your top. Simple as that!
5. Add a Silk Scarf
There is something in particular about a silk fabric against denim that really pops. Try a silk neck scarf or a long scarf like the one here.
6. Don’t Forget Your Denim Skirts
Bring in a denim mini, midi, or maxi to the look.
7. Go All In
Grab all your favorite denim pieces and layer them!

See how easy a denim-on-denim look can be to pull off! Stop into any of our store locations if you’re looking for denim pieces. And don’t forget to bring along your pre-loved clothing to sell for cash or store credit.
March 16, 2023 Spring Clean and Sell Clothes This Weekend
We’re just days away from a season shift, which means it’s time to spring clean and sell clothes!
We like to clean out our closets at least 3 times a year, usually at the beginning of the year, when spring arrives, and then when we switch over to fall.
With each closet clean comes the opportunity to sell our gently used clothing for cash or trade credit, and there’s no better place to get this done than in our stores or by mail.

If you’ve never sold clothes in one of our stores, this video from Mary of Mary Elizabeth shows you exactly what the process looks like.
And Beth of B. Jones Style shares how our Sell by Mail option is free and easy.
Ready to get started? Check out our latest selling guide to see what we’re looking for, then mark your calendars to spring clean and sell clothes soon. If you plan to sell in-store, no appointment is necessary. We buy all day every day, so our buyers are waiting to help you!
