Blog: Crossroads Style

August 31, 2021 Black-Owned Fashion Brands in the Spotlight

For the last year, Crossroads has been committed to putting Black-owned fashion brands in the spotlight. It’s a tough process to pick only a few favorites because there are so many to choose from!

We continue to feature brands each week on our Instagram feed, so be sure to follow along. Here are the 4 brands we featured in August:

1. Something by Sonia

The brand @somethingbysonjia is led by none other than @sonjiawilliams of Project Runway fame. We think she’s perfected the paperbag waist, as seen in her Nala Paperbag Short shown below. Visit the website here.

2. souk + SEPIA

Black-owned @soukandsepia is a stylish marketplace of curated products from around the globe, including clothing, shoes, accessories, and home décor. They ship directly from top factories around the world and pass along savings of up to 80% off original retail! Visit their IG feed to see more.

Label @tu-creative is sold from an Etsy shop you have to visit. The label sells t-shirts designed and handmade in Memphis, Tennessee. Besides popular message tees like the one shown here, its sitcom reference tees are a big hit too.
