February 29, 2024 The Best Preloved Clothes in Stores Now

Preloved clothes are exactly that: clothes that once won over a shopper, only to find themselves hanging in a closet or waiting in a drawer for too long.

Maybe it’s because they never fit the owner just right, or maybe it’s because the owner changed styles. Whatever the reason, preloved clothes find a new owner and a second (or third!) life in our stores.

If you follow our regional Instagram feeds (and we really hope you do! Find some linked below), then you know that we buy in amazing used clothing all day every day. From popular mall brands to designer pieces, we stock our stores with secondhand gems.

In fact, we perused our regional feeds this morning and found some pieces we had to share. Take a look, and then plan your next visit to shop or sell!

example of preloved clothes: a used leather Gucci bag

example of pre-loved clothes: a checked sweater, pair of sneakers, and green corduroy pants

pair of Nike sneakers in tan suede with navy blue swoop

example of preloved clothes: a white blouse, black corset, and striped pants

off-shite linen skirt, crochet tie-top, and white tank top

designer suitcase

burgundy sweatshirt, paisley jacket, jeans, and white trainers

pair of Doc Martens

Do you have preloved clothes in your closet that you no longer wear?

February 27, 2024 Flirty Hemlines for Spring

Dress and skirt hemlines are looking extra flirty this spring, so much so that we’ve added to them to our seasonal selling guide.

Whether flared, bubble, or flounced, these special hemlines add a whole new dimension to a spring or summer look. Plus, they’re really fun to wear!

Below are a few of the looks we plan to replicate this season. Notice how these flirty hemlines work on both midi and maxi lengths.

Not your style? We have plenty more seasonal trends for you to admire, plus racks and racks of treasure hunt fashion finds on the racks of our stores.

If you find yourself with any of these seasonal trends in pre-loved condition in your closet, now may be the time to sell them to Crossroads for cash or store credit. We offer 30% in cash or 50% in trade of what we price the item for, and you’ll get paid on the spot. It doesn’t get much easier. You can even use our waitlist app to add your name to selling waitlist before you’ve even left your home!

With spring on the horizon, now’s the time to start planning that closet spring clean!

February 22, 2024 Get Cash for Clothes by Mail

Giving cash for clothes is what we do! Most people sell directly in our stores to collect cash or store credit on the spot, but if you don’t live near a store (or just don’t have the time), you can try our Sell by Mail program too.

However you choose to sell, there are a few things to consider when deciding on the clothes to bring to us. These 4 tips will greatly increase your odds of earning cash or trade.

1. Check the Brands We Love

Our selling guide shares the styles, trends, and labels we’re currently looking for. We’re always looking for popular mall and boutique brands in great condition.

2. Focus on Current and Classic Styles

We love to stock our racks with the trends and styles we’re seeing on the current runways, as well as classic investment pieces that can be worn for years.

Current and classic styles will always increase your likelihood of selling.

3. Bring in Those High-Quality Fabrics

We’re on the hunt for superior natural fibers like cotton, silk, cashmere, leather, and wool. In fact, what your clothes are made of can turn your piece from a “maybe” into a “yes, please!”

Like with any fabrics, just make sure to inspect for pulls and stains. Our buyers won’t be able to accept damaged items.

4. Check the Condition

Finally, our buyers look for pieces that customers could wear out of the store. For this reason, they look closely for stains, tears, loose threads, missing buttons, and broken zippers. The better the condition, the more likely an item will be purchased!

Ready to give it a go and earn cash for clothes? Just visit one of our stores or order your Sell by Mail bag here.
