June 22, 2023 Photo Inspiration: Grunge Outfits
Looking for inspiration for styling grunge outfits? We were too, and we came across a number of looks that capture this ’90s trend perfectly.
During our search, we realized that there are several key pieces that really help to capture the look. Keep scrolling to see them all.
Combat Boots
Pretty much the essential piece for your grunge outfits, we turn to a pair of combat boots to start the look. They don’t have to be black though! You can find them in lots of great colors.
Chain Accessories
Our favorite part of styling is tying a look together through accessories. Make them chain accessories for a grunge look.
Netting
Whether in a stretch mesh or yarn weave, find a way to include netting in your look.
Platform Shoes
A bold pair of chunky platforms can take the place of combat boots too!
Flannel
A flannel shirt magically turns grunge when added to cut-off shorts and boots. Extra points for a pair of ripped tights.
Leather Cuffs
A leather cuff is an ideal accessory too. Look for a studded one that will become your new favorite.
There are so many trends we love right now! See even more in our current selling guide.
June 21, 2023 Staff Style Spotlight: Arnel
As part of our Staff Style Spotlight series, meet Arnel, a District Manager at Crossroads. We asked San Francisco employees to bring their style and star in our latest photoshoot wearing their Crossroads finds. Read about Arnel’s personal style, favorite Crossroads finds, and favorite thing about working at Crossroads.
Tell us about your favorite Crossroads find.
My favorite Crossroad find would have to be my Schott NYC Perfecto Leather Moto Jacket!
What brands are you hoping to see in store?
I would love to see designers like Willy Chavarria and Prospective Flow, along with classics like Rick Owens, Beams Plus, and CDG Homme/Homme Deux/Homme Plus.
How would you describe your personal style?
I would describe my current personal style as easy breezy pretty. 💅 I love everything layered and over-oversized! I want to be swimming in my clothes hahaha! However, I’m a sucker for anything 70’s inspired or vintage, who doesn’t love a non-breathable poly blend!
What is your favorite thing about working at Crossroads?
One of my favorite parts about working at Crossroads is that we are eco-friendly and give clothing a 2nd,3rd, or 4th chance, allowing people to find fun and fashionable clothing at amazing prices! It’s Mother Earth approved and fashion should be accessible to all! Another favorite part is the ability to grow from within the program. We have some of the most talented and hard-working employees and I love to see them grow and shine. Lastly, you can’t forget about having the first pick on all the clothes that come through our doors! I mean…it’s everything!

June 20, 2023 Classic Summer: The White Sundress
Summer fashion should be super simple, and a white sundress has always captured this ease. That’s why we’re calling it out as a summer classic.
It’s a piece you can put on and look immediately pulled together, even though it feels as comfy as your favorite nightgown.
You can also accessorize to your whim. The options are many: sunglasses, gold necklaces, head scarves, basket bags, and denim jackets top our list.
And while sandals are often the go-to shoe match, don’t overlook other options like sneakers and espadrilles.
Most of all, just keep the look breezy. It’s summer after all!
