June 9, 2026 Style, Identity, and Pride: Voices from the Crossroads Community

At Crossroads, individuality is something we celebrate every day. Pride allows us a special opportunity to recognize the many voices, experiences, and identities that make our community strong. This month, we’re highlighting three members of our LGBTQ+ community who share how they celebrate Pride, express themselves through fashion, and build connection both inside and outside of work.

Aili, Buyer Trainer

Aili celebrates Pride by gathering with her chosen family, her partner Erika, and their two beloved dogs, Mazzy and Gus. Every year, she and Erika host a Pride gathering for queer friends and allies, sharing a home-cooked meal and a night of dancing and connection.

Fashion is another meaningful outlet for Aili, allowing her to express her emotions and individuality. After more than a decade at Crossroads, she appreciates working in an environment that encourages personal style and has enjoyed watching her own fashion journey evolve over the years.

Sofia, Lead Cashier

Sofia celebrates Pride by participating in community events and showing up authentically as herself. She views fashion as an important part of her identity, helping her present herself in a way that feels true to who she is. Through her style, Sofia embraces self-confidence and authenticity, practicing values that resonate throughout Pride Month and beyond.

Nakai, Store Buyer

For Nakai, Pride is all about community, self-expression, and joy. She celebrates by fostering meaningful relationships, spending time with her community, and, of course, enjoying a good party.

Fashion plays a central role in how Nakai moves through the world. She describes the way she dresses as a reflection of who she is and a way to connect with others in her community. Beyond personal style, Nakai is also a creative maker, designing and constructing an upcycled clothing collection that brings together sustainability and self-expression. Take a look!

Pride is a celebration of identity, community, and belonging. We’re grateful to Aili, Sofia, and Nikai for sharing their stories and helping make Crossroads a place where people can show up as themselves every day.
