December 13, 2022 The Coziest Holiday Outfits

While some winter events call for spectacular holiday outfits in sequins and feathers, other events at home with friends and family call for ultimate cozy vibes.

We turned to our store teams to find some easy-to-follow looks that anyone can copy. Which one will you pick?

Head to Toe Knits

Layer knit pieces and you’re all set: stretchy plus warm equals cozy.

Sweater Vest Look

Go “dad chic” with a winter-themed sweater vest layered over a basic top and paired with denim. Add a fanny pack to really clinch the look.

Oversized Cardigan

Find a super-soft, oversized cardigan in merry brights. Look for vintage options from secondhand fashion stores like Crossroads.

Shearling

We will always approve a denim-on-denim look, and adding shearling into the mix makes it a cozy holiday outfit.

Fully Festive

A classic holiday sweater mixed with plaids shows you’re in the holiday spirit. Make it as comfortable as you’d like because festive looks are always the most crowd-pleasing holiday outfits.

Matching Looks

Hosting the party? Set the stage for cozy holiday outfits from the start. Let everyone know the theme in advance. We can’t imagine anyone will be mad about a leggings and sweatshirt holiday dress code.

December 8, 2022 Thrifted Holiday Party Outfit Ideas

We think that a thrifted holiday party outfit may be the best kind of holiday party outfit. Why? First, you save money when shopping secondhand, especially for a look you may only put to use for a night or two.

Second, we find that thrifted looks are more unique than ones straight off the department store rack. They’re usually a blend of rare and special finds, ensuring you won’t see anyone else in the same attire.

We looked through the regional Instagram feeds of our stores and found you some holiday party outfit ideas built around some of our favorite themes. See something you like? Visit your local Crossroads and start pulling your party looks together. There’s still time!

December 6, 2022 What are Puddle Pants?

And just like that, puddle pants were in every fashion magazine and on our favorite websites. They seemed to emerge from thin air and had us immediately intrigued. What was this trend all about?

A quick search for some inspiration photos followed, and within minutes we were sold. Ah yes, puddle pants will definitely be finding a way into our wardrobe this season. The question now is whether we’ll pick them in denim or not.

And finding them can be as simple as picking a pair of wide-length or straight-leg pants in a longer length than usual. With so many stores offering a range of lengths these days, lots of options are out there.

Keep scrolling for a glimpse of puddle pants at their best. Then, stop into any of our stores in search of your own pair. Please promise to share how you style your puddle pants by tagging us @crossroadstrading.
