Wondering how to get a job in fashion?
If you find yourself with a passion for fashion, an entry job in fashion retail is an excellent way to start your career. You’ll find yourself working alongside other fashion enthusiasts, discussing the latest trends, styles, and labels.
You’ll learn about store merchandising, shopper trends, and seasonal shifts in retail. And in a secondhand fashion store like Crossroads, you’ll even learn corporate buying skills.
That’s right: our in-store buyers complete formal training and learn how to buy clothing for our store inventory. They receive feedback on what sells best and learn how to identify what’s most popular for their store’s shoppers.
Oh, and don’t forget about the employee discount that will help you build up your career wardrobe! In a resale store like Crossroads, that means buying high-quality and designer pieces at the fraction of original cost.
We’re always looking for employees to join our teams in stores across the U.S., so check out our open jobs and all the benefits we’re offering. Then, ring in the New Year with a new career in fashion.

A quilted jacket may be something you’ve never considered a wardrobe essential, but we’re prepared to change your mind. Once you’ve added this warm and pretty piece to your closet, we think you’ll find yourself picking it day after day this winter.
It’s light for the days that are sunny but cool, making it easy to toss over a turtleneck or sweatshirt. It’s also easy to pack in a backpack or duffel bag for a day’s outing.
Once we started looking for examples of how to style a quilted jacket, we found them in a wide range of options. From cotton to nylon, and neutrals to prints, there is an option for every style.
Here’s some of the pieces that we’d love to get our hands on.

October 29, 2024 3 Ways to Wear Jumpsuits Now
Did you catch that jumpsuits are included in our latest selling guide?
This fashion piece is undeniably unique. Think about it: you can build most of your OOTD with only one piece. On top of that, it’s reliably comfortable. But don’t let that keep you from wearing it during the week at work or on weekends at special outings!
In fact, here are 3 ways we’re feeling inspired to wear jumpsuits right now.
1. As a Cozy Basic
Add a jacket and sneakers, and you’re out-the-door ready.
2. With Workwear
A blazer, some jewelry, and a pair of boots or loafers are all you need to make one work in the office. We’re extra inspired by the layered button-up with tie!
3. Belted
A belt uplevels a jumpsuit every time. Go bold and pick a chunky or chained one.

Shop for your own piece at any of our store locations. Plus, don’t forget you can sell your preloved fashion to us for cash or store credit. That can help offset the price, or even make the item “free.”

October 23, 2024 Thrift Store Halloween Costume Ideas
It’s time for thrift store Halloween costume ideas! Just like you, we’re counting down the days, and–lucky for us–working in secondhand fashion gives us plenty of costume inspiration. In fact, many of our stores have dedicated racks with pre-made costume ideas from their creative teams.
We also checked into our stores’ regional feeds on Instagram to get a peek at the Halloween costumes they’ve pulled together from their racks. Keep scrolling to take a look and get inspired by their fashionable imaginations!

The best part: most of these costume pieces will stay in your wardrobe past Halloween. For example, that Cruella de Vil coat alone will keep you stylish and warm all the way through winter.
So, no need to worry. There’s still time to dream up your own thrift store Halloween costume ideas. Just stop into any of our stores this weekend to see what you can create. We’ll see you there!

October 17, 2024 5 Ways: Cowboy Boots
Cowboy boots are back for fall, and we’re still mad about the brown suede pair we misplaced years ago. Oh well, it just means we need to stop into our neighborhood Crossroads to find a new pair!
With several styling options available, we’ve already narrowed down 5 ways we want to wear them this fall. Keep scrolling to see them all.
1. With Tucked Jeans
We’re getting serious Princess Di vibes from this particular look. It has the voluminous tuck, the oversized sweatshirt, and a baseball cap for good measure. The furry bag adds a touch of fun and texture.
2. Paired with a Trench
This is the classic rainy day look with a Western twist. Just right for a gray day coffee run.
3. In a Sweater & Shorts Look
Unexpectedly, a big cozy sweater can work with shorts in the fall, and they give the boots a chance to shine. Add a baguette bag to finish the look.
4. With Wide-Leg Jeans
Wide-leg jeans fall easily over the boot. Throw on a leather jacket to give it a biker bent.
5. Styled with a Mini Dress
Mini dress + oversized blazer + cowboy boots = fall-tastic!

What do you think? You can find this trend alongside many more in our current selling guide.
