October 31, 2024 Get Inspired to Try a Quilted Jacket

A quilted jacket may be something you’ve never considered a wardrobe essential, but we’re prepared to change your mind. Once you’ve added this warm and pretty piece to your closet, we think you’ll find yourself picking it day after day this winter.

It’s light for the days that are sunny but cool, making it easy to toss over a turtleneck or sweatshirt. It’s also easy to pack in a backpack or duffel bag for a day’s outing.

Once we started looking for examples of how to style a quilted jacket, we found them in a wide range of options. From cotton to nylon, and neutrals to prints, there is an option for every style.

Here’s some of the pieces that we’d love to get our hands on.

October 29, 2024 3 Ways to Wear Jumpsuits Now

Did you catch that jumpsuits are included in our latest selling guide?

This fashion piece is undeniably unique. Think about it: you can build most of your OOTD with only one piece. On top of that, it’s reliably comfortable. But don’t let that keep you from wearing it during the week at work or on weekends at special outings!

In fact, here are 3 ways we’re feeling inspired to wear jumpsuits right now.

1. As a Cozy Basic

Add a jacket and sneakers, and you’re out-the-door ready.

2. With Workwear

A blazer, some jewelry, and a pair of boots or loafers are all you need to make one work in the office. We’re extra inspired by the layered button-up with tie!

3. Belted

A belt uplevels a jumpsuit every time. Go bold and pick a chunky or chained one.

October 17, 2024 5 Ways: Cowboy Boots

Cowboy boots are back for fall, and we’re still mad about the brown suede pair we misplaced years ago. Oh well, it just means we need to stop into our neighborhood Crossroads to find a new pair!

With several styling options available, we’ve already narrowed down 5 ways we want to wear them this fall. Keep scrolling to see them all.

1. With Tucked Jeans

We’re getting serious Princess Di vibes from this particular look. It has the voluminous tuck, the oversized sweatshirt, and a baseball cap for good measure. The furry bag adds a touch of fun and texture.

2. Paired with a Trench

This is the classic rainy day look with a Western twist. Just right for a gray day coffee run.

3. In a Sweater & Shorts Look

Unexpectedly, a big cozy sweater can work with shorts in the fall, and they give the boots a chance to shine. Add a baguette bag to finish the look.

4. With Wide-Leg Jeans

Wide-leg jeans fall easily over the boot. Throw on a leather jacket to give it a biker bent.

5. Styled with a Mini Dress

Mini dress + oversized blazer + cowboy boots = fall-tastic!

October 15, 2024 A Halloween Costume with Secondhand Style

Do you have your Halloween costume ready yet? If you’re feeling stumped, the creative team members in our stores have some great ideas for you. We checked our regional Instagram feeds to see what they’re showcasing. Take a look at 4 ways they used secondhand finds from our racks to create some really fun Halloween looks!

1. Pick Re-wearable Pieces

This is one of our favorite costume tactics. Create a costume out of items you know you’ll wear again in the future, mixed with different pieces.

2. Create a Group Look

Get your friends involved and re-create a famous group. We think our Berkeley store did an amazing job here with the Scooby-Doo crew!

2. Imitate Famous Movie Characters

Grab your phone and do a Google search for the most famous movie characters. Then screenshot their signature looks and go secondhand shopping! Chances are, you’ll walk away with classic pieces you’ll wear waaaayyyy past Halloween.

4. Keep it Simply Spooky
