One of the trends you’ll see in our current seasonal selling guide is bold stripes. We love them in pants, maxi skirts, and dresses. Let’s narrow in on the trend a bit more though and focus on bold stripe shirts.
Some people shy away from stripes, but in so many ways, a striped shirt can be seen as a neutral. Make a striped piece stand out by keeping the rest of the look simple, or match it with florals, solids, prints, and even more stripes!
You also have the option of a basic 2-color stripe, or a multi-colored striping in rich, bright colors. It’s hard to get the look wrong.

I will never forget the black leather pants with a wide leg that was snatched away before I could swipe them up. I still shed a tear when I think about how it’s not in my closet.

I can’t wait until a black velour Y2K tracksuit comes into my life.

I have been finding amazing corsets & slips that I cannot stop utilizing every day!
What is your favorite Spring trend?
Flowy princess sundresses are my weakness.

I absolutely adore seeing my coworkers’ creativity in the way they dress, as well as the customers.

On the eve of Earth Day, we have to talk about shopping secondhand and its growing popularity as an eco-friendly fashion alternative. It’s one of our best practices for reducing waste, and if you’re a regular like us, you’ll want to know the 8 thrift store fashion trends that we’re always on the lookout for.
These are the pieces that make secondhand shopping a real fashion treasure hunt! Take a look and we think you’ll agree.
1. Band Tees
The first stop is the t-shirt rack, where band tees are front and center on our minds.
2. Sundresses
Dresses, in general, are a favorite thrift store department, but we especially love to find pretty sundresses that we’ll live in all summer long.
3. Vintage Designer
This one is like finding gold! Who was the lucky person who came across these vintage Gucci heels?
4. Special Occasion
Special occasion dresses are usually worn only once or twice, so thrift stores should be your go-to stop when you need one.

We love a good matching set, and a suit set like this is a major score.

When thrifting for fashion, we have a laser-like focus on one-of-a-kind retro and vintage pieces that we know no one else will have.

We can never have enough sneakers, and when you find them gently used, you give them a second life.

The biggest cost savings in a thrift store can happen with outerwear. When the piece is secondhand, you can upgrade the label, the materials, and the silhouette. Don’t pass up a great outerwear piece, even if you’re shopping in summer!

We just had to introduce you to Kerry of @kass_stylz. Kerry, a digital content creator, serves up outfit inspiration across multiple social channels and shares amazing styling tips. Read on for our Q&A.
Hello, Kerry! Thank you so much for taking part in our Q&A. Would you tell us a little bit about yourself?
Hello, my name is K-E-R-R-Y Kerry, I’m so very, fly oh-my, it’s a little bit scary! LOL… I’m a teacher by day and a slayer by way. My content inspires the everyday woman to serve SASS and STYLE. My Jamaican upbringing contributes to my bubbly and outgoing personality. If you met me in real life, you’d get the same person you see on social media. I don’t believe in faking it. Authenticity is important to me and showing up as myself and for myself daily is a form of self-care. As I go through this life, I encourage everyone to remain true to their beliefs and live positively.
How would you best describe your style, and has it evolved over time?
For me, style is fluid, and so as I go, it changes. I love experimenting, but I make sure I add my personal touch to the look. I’m known to be extra and will never change, so whatever style or outfit I choose to wear on a particular day, you’ll always see a touch of extra-ness in it.
My style has definitely evolved over the years. I take more risks now. I’ll go over the edge a little, and I don’t care what anyone thinks. In the past, I would second guess myself and wonder if people would like my outfit. Now, I’ve gotten to the point where if I like my outfit, I’m good.
You’re busy as a digital creator across Instagram, YouTube, and TikTok! Which platform are you most excited about for sharing your fashion hauls and styling advice?
I’ve only been on YouTube for a short time, but I must say it quickly became my favorite platform for sharing fashion hauls and styling advice. This is mostly because I get to share longer-form videos. My audience gets to see more of my personality, they’re engaged, and they love my fashion tips and styling ideas. I get to be thorough, and my content gets a longer shelf life. Years from now, someone can come across one of my videos and use it as inspiration.
We appreciate that you’re a big fan of thrifting. What drew you to secondhand fashion?
For years I wanted to try secondhand fashion but was scared I wouldn’t find anything worthwhile. Other than the obvious reason of it being beneficial for the environment, I was drawn to secondhand fashion for saving money without compromising on quality. I also wanted to share this budget-friendly way of shopping with my audience, as I’m always reminding them they can slay (look stylish) on a budget without breaking the bank. Thrifting also allowed me to step up my styling game and try new trends to see if I like them before investing in them.
What advice would you give to someone just starting out on their thrifted fashion journey?
If you’re just starting out on your thrifted fashion journey, go with an open mind and don’t overthink the process. Make sure you have an idea of what pieces you want to get your hands on. This will save you time and prevent impulse purchases. Finally, have fun and slay your thrifted finds as if you bought them brand new.

There was the perfect, cropped fringe cowboy jacket that a customer got their hands on before I could. I am still thinking about it to this day.
What are you dying to see come into your Crossroads store?
I have been dying for a pair of Maison Margiela tabi boots. Size 8. Preferably black patent leather. Thank you very much.

My favorite Crossroads find definitely has to be either my Gosha Rubchinsky sweatshirt or my X-Girl X Doc Marten boots.
What is your favorite Spring trend?
I looove wearing colorful makeup during the spring!
What is your favorite thing about working at Crossroads?
My favorite part about working at Crossroads is my team. I love walking into work every day knowing amazing and creative people surround me.
