August 24, 2021 5 Ways to Wear Pleats
You’ve seen them listed in our fall selling guide. so you know we’re planning to wear pleats this fall. In anticipation, we’re sharing 5 ways to wear pleats from now until winter.
1. Pleated Dresses
Pleats don’t have to be heavy. In fact, they’re best in silk satin, organza, and taffeta fabrics. We’ve picked two gorgeous dresses below to show you.

2. Tennis Skirts
These wide-pleated skirts are so popular we recently included them in our preppy round-up article here.

3. Midi Skirts
Midi skirts are the most classic and popular way to wear pleats. Add a blouse or turtleneck on top, and boots or loafers to complete the look.

4. Head-to-Toe
Keep this in mind on your next shopping trip: you’ve struck gold if you find a matching top and bottom set in fine pleats!

5. Silky Pants
A pair of lightweight pants in pleats will take you through the summer to fall transition. You can start by wearing them with tank tops and t-shirts, then move into chunky sweaters once the weather cools.

We’re sharing 5 ways to wear pleats now because it’s one of the thirty trends in our current Selling Guide. Click here to see it and learn which other trends we’re really, really excited about right now.

We’re huge fans of knits, so with September on the horizon, we’ve already got plans for them in our fall looks. Curious about the knits we can’t forget to take into fall with us? There’s no doubt it’s the cardigan knit set.
They’re internationally loved, which explains why you’ve seen them all over your social media feed lately. If you’re a knitter (let’s be friends!), then it’s time to get started on your own set. Hand-knitted ones in chunky yarns are a favorite. Or, for the creative secondhand fashion shopper, search our stores for individual pieces and mix and match your own set.

August 10, 2021 2 Ways You Save Money with Secondhand Fashion
Your style is impeccable (we see you!), and who doesn’t love to spend less on clothing? So with that in mind, do you know there are 2 ways you save money with secondhand fashion?
1. You save with lower prices.
Were you aware that resale fashion retailers like Crossroads price their items at approximately one-third of the original retail price? Since the store’s buyers only bring in excellent condition, gently used pieces, the trade-off for a secondhand piece is practically unnoticeable.
2. You save even more when you sell and trade your clothes.
On top of significantly discounted prices, there’s a way to save even more. Buy-sell-trade fashion retailers allow you to sell your pre-loved clothes for cash or store credit. In the case of Crossroads, you’ll get cash store credit (AKA trade) based on a percentage of what we price your items for. It’s your choice! Sound too good to be true? Get all the details here.

The 2 ways you save money with secondhand fashion don’t even include the best savings of all: the savings in environmental impact. Buying secondhand clothing extends the lifetime of clothing and reduces the need for new pieces to be produced. It’s a win all around. There you were just being stylish, and you were saving money and protecting the environment too. Well done!
