Not only does increasing the longevity of your clothes mean you’re keeping clothing out of landfill, but you’re also extending your time with the jeans or t-shirt that you absolutely love. And thanks to online tutorials, it’s so easy to learn how to mend your clothes. Below I’ve rounded up 3 that you’re most likely to search for.

Who hasn’t owned a favorite pair of jeans that you’re just not willing to part with, even as signs of wear become more evident. Not to worry: there’s a fix for that!

March 11, 2021 My Current Favorite: An Oversized Blazer
Years ago I found a piece at Crossroads that has re-emerged as my current favorite: an oversized blazer. It’s just not any oversized blazer either, but a mint condition Escada one in dark gray cashmere with structured shoulders. Cue the swooning.
I’m not the only one finishing outfits with an oversized blazer these days. A quick #oversizedblazer search dug up loads and loads of looks to try. Mix in anything from jeans to leggings to sweatpants to biking shorts. Make it casual with running shoes or office-ready with heels and a handbag. And may we talk about belting? Cinch an oversized blazer with a belt or scarf and you’ll get yourself a whole new look to play with.

When we personally spring clean our closets, we focus on identifying the gently-used pieces that no longer fit or we no longer love. These are the pieces that we set aside to sell for cash or store credit at Crossroads.
Once you have everything set aside, just follow the next steps to sell your clothes.
1. Take a Look at Our Current Selling Guide
We produce selling guides to share what we’re currently looking to buy. See the current one below, and bookmark our online selling guide so you always have it handy.
2. Bring Your Clothes to One of Our Store Locations
We have store locations across the US. Find your nearest one to learn about their current selling process (Some offer in-person selling by appointment while others offer drop-in selling). And if we don’t have a store location near you, you can still sell to us by mail!
3. Let Our Friendly Staff Know You’ve Arrived to Sell
They’ll direct you to the store’s selling counter so you can get started.
4. Leave Your Clothes at the Selling Counter
