About to run some errands for the day? Play it cool and throw on a neutral-colored sweater over your favorite pair of boyfriend jeans.

These tan trousers have us convinced that we need to start changing up our work uniform.

You can’t go wrong with a midi slit skirt in a neutral tone!

The next time it’s date night, throw on a nude moto jacket to add some edge to your look.

We’d take any excuse to wear a monochrome brown outfit.

This cargo two-piece has your name written all over it!

September 14th, 2018 by Samantha Weaver New Arrivals: Clueless-Inspired Outfits for 2018

Are you a Cher, a Tai or a Dionne? Because we love each Clueless character’s personal style so much (even 23 years later!), we’ve rounded up our newest arrivals and styled them with a modern day Clueless vibe in mind.

Which look would you wear?

DIONNE

Dionne always had a bit more flare than the rest of the cast, and for that, we think she’d be rocking her signature green plaid like the #bosslady she is in 2018. Sport our Green Plaid Skater Dress ($32.50) to channel Dionne. Add in a classic gold button blazer, leather ankle boots and a mini bag—Clueless rules demand that you color-match!

Tai

I’m 100% a Tai, and I love her style before and after her movie makeover. We’ve combined them into this everyday Tai look with our Plaid Moto Jacket ($42.50), denim overalls, a ribbed crop top and leather mules.

CHER

While I love each of Cher’s look in the classic 1995 film, her opening scene look will forever be my favorite! Recreate her look with our Yellow Plaid Mini Dress ($32.50). Instead of the matching yellow cardigan and jacket, we’ve added a cropped suede blazer, leather cut-out heels, and an ivory hip bag. True to ’90s style, we’ve layered the look over a plain white tee.

Already planning your Halloween outfit? These plaids work for a Clueless Halloween look as well! Available at all Crossroads locations next week!

September 6th, 2018 by Jennifer Beile Can You Wear White After Labor Day?

Hint: absolutely!

The antiquated no-white-after-Labor-Day rule appears to have originated in the late 19th century, when white was considered only proper for summer vacation attire (before bare arms and legs were appropriate, color and fabric were often the only difference between seasonal clothing). After Labor Day became a federal holiday, it unofficially signaled the end of the summer and vacations, meaning there was no longer a need to wear vacation clothing—so all white clothing was put away until the next year. Darker color clothing was a signal for the end of summer and a return to work.

Thankfully, somewhere between then and now, this arbitrary fashion rule has become outdated. Fashion and lifestyle have evolved and there are many more ways to keep cool in the summer besides lightweight white pieces. Lucky for us, that means we get to wear our favorite white pieces year round.  Take a look at some of the most chic ways to wear white after Labor Day this year!

When updating your fall wardrobe, pick up a cozy cable knit sweater in white or cream.

A white denim jacket brings a fresh perspective to a those gloomy fall days.

Blazers are the perfect transition piece. Dress down a white blazer by pairing it with jeans and sneakers.

Add a trendy pair of white wide-leg pants or denim into your fall wardrobe rotation.

Don’t pack away your silky slip dresses just yet. Layer a blazer or an oversized sweater to get more wear out of them.

Dare to wear an all-white outfit with dark accessories for a chic autumn look.
